    They also have Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 at 25% discount. It's my preferred oil after Mobil1 got silly expensive. Used it for 15 years or so on four Japanese cars for a total of around 450,000km. All engines look brand new clean internally as it has a great detergent package (at10,000km oil changes). If I can't get it I buy Edge 5W-40 as it seems to be as good or similar. Nothing wrong with HPR-5 either especially at 50% off.

      Are the Penrite 5w40 oils good for Japanese cars?

      Reading online people recommend 0w30 for Honda. But is 5w40 just fine for Australia?

        I moved from 5w 30 to 5w 40. Oil seems to last longer now and less burn. Before with 5w 30 had to change change at about 6K km. Now around 8K km
