  • Anyone know how these compare. I've got a few 'Enlighten' sets, which I've been impressed with, but these are new to me?
    e.g. http://dx.com/p/enlighten-pirates-series-assemble-constructi…

  • +1

I was ready to crap on these for being another boring clone, til I saw the metre long aircraft carrier. Pretty sure if that was real lego it would be $1000 plus, very cool

  • These are not perfect, but pretty close to Lego, plastic seems almost the same as Lego, but you do get the occasional brick that doesn't quite stick properly. The minifigures are pretty weirdly proportioned (big wide shallow heads) and will stand out if used alongside Lego. The minifigures also require a lot more building, and are less flexible. In short, I don't like the minifigs much.

The real advantage (besides he price) is that they have some unique themed sets, especially the military sets, which I believe is against Lego's policy.

    • Thanks, the Enlighten ones I think are more copies, so the minifigures are the same and some of the sets are pretty close to the official ones. They also do military sets and some other funny ones, such as a replica handgun!

  • Fantastic saving on the medical helicopter $2795 down to $22.45 (You save $2,772.55)

    • Well it is a full-size helicopter that you can get in and ride. Just kidding. Thanks for letting us know. I missed a decimal point - that will teach me to use a computer before my morning coffee! Apologies.

      Regards,
      Peter
