  • Shipping $8 to Sydney 😢 💲

Sorry, $8 is the cheapest shipping to Syd we can get across couriers and Aus Post. If you buy multiple the average shipping cost per box goes down :)

We bought 'discounted' compostable dog poo bags once… They tended to break or rip easily as we were removing one from the roll, or using them pick up the poo, or as we were carrying them to a bin… Really not worth the hassle.

We make these these thicker than others you find in large pet stores for this exact reason. I use them personally everyday. More than happy to refund if you have this issue.

  • 6 months shelf life left.

How long since they were manufactured?

    • +1

This pallet was received March this year. Manufacturer suggests 18 months shelf life from production. We mark them as 12 months from receival which allows plenty of buffer for any potential environmental conditions during transit that could affecting shelf life.

        • +1

Ha, I did google receival before I typed it because it feels strange to say, but I ignored the suggestion to not use it :)

        • +1

It's interesting that most of the answers are suggesting not "receival" but then you get the Aussie response from Nathan:

it's common for a warehouse in Australia to use "receival slips" which show a record of the receipt of goods. A Google search on the word "receival" tends to reveal it's usage on many Australian websites too.

          And the next answer:

The Oxford English Dictionary examples go back to 1637. It says receival (at least in the meaning the act of receiving) is now chiefly Australian.

Now those that pick up the poo and then chuck the bag on the ground can feel better about themselves.

My local council sends compostable bags out for free. Only takes a phone call and delivered in a couple of days.

    • That's awesome. Wish it was more common.

I let my dog crap anywhere it wants, #straya

These are free in Coles/Woolies vegetable section.

      Not compostable, sadly.

      • Yeah they are, will just take a bit longer.

    shipping kills :(
total price: 60 bags for $11.
    120 bags for $14.

    At bunnings
    20 bags for $2.80
    that's 60 bags for $8.40.
    120 bags for $16.80.

I don't think your price is attractive enough unless we are living close to your store and C&C for free at QLD 4220.
But I am sure 99.99% of us aren't.

And no one is going to make a large order because these bags are short dated.
I am sorry but wish you good luck.

    • Thanks for the insight. To your point, even with shipping these are cheaper than bunnings when you order more than 1 box. Almost every order has been for multiple boxes since these went on sale, and half the pallet has sold in the last 3 days.
If these are cheaper than bunnings, they are likely the cheapest in the country. How is that not attractive enough?

      • First of all, it's great to hear that your stocks are going quick, good on you.

The following is just my opinion, please don't take it as offensive.
Yes, as I mentioned above, it's $2.80 cheaper than Bunnings to get two boxes
but I would not take the risk and get 120 bags because they are short dated.

As other has commented, discounted bags are often lower in quality.
While you are kind to offer a full refund if they break, to me, you are not a reputable business.
Not saying you are doggy, it's just that you're a small business, and we are not familiar with you.

It's your very first post here, and you are a new member only registered yesterday. We have never heard of you.
It's not like we are 100% sure we can get a refund from Bunnings.
You may close your business for good anytime, or disappear without answering emails.
It's just a risk factor to we need to consider when we judge your price and product.
It's called "Fear of the unknown". Does the $2.80 discount justify the risk of unknown?

While some people may be willing to pay $800 to a random person on gumtree for a 2nd hand iPhone, I don't.
I am sure it will be a different story when you've posted maybe 20 deals and build up your reputation here.
Wish you all the best. :)

        • Hey mate, no offense taken. I was genuinely asking why is wasn't attractive enough as I thought your point was more in my favour.
Again thanks for the insight. I won't count on your order, but looks like a few others are risking their $3 on a small business :)

We aren't a discount based business so I won't likely reach 20 deals. I just need to clear the remaining boxes so a friend recommended I post on here.
