Stocard Shutting down - What App Do You Use to Store Gift Cards and Loyalty Cards? (Android)

I've been using Stocard for a couple of years now to share discounted egift cards (Coles, Woolies, Harris Farm) with my girlfriend. Also has my library card and other random store loyalty cards in it. Got a notice today that it's shutting down in 14 days. What alternatives is anyone moving to?

    • Thanks for reminder i have to move mine.
      Yeah klama isnt good

    • Why wouldn't you just keep screenshots of gift cards in a folder conveniently labelled "gift cards"? Most photo apps have OCR nowdays so you can even copy text from them.

  • Got a pop up today stocard will stop working in 14 days. Came in to search ozbargain and found this post.
Will try Cantima and supercard to see which one works best for me. Thanks for the suggestions.

      Mobile pocket too

    • App closed, stored cards no longer accessible for me two weeks ago.

However, I downloaded the old version 10.51.3 from 3rd party and it still works if you prefer its UI. I haven't got shutdown notification yet. Most other similar Apps miss an important feature of "Sort by last used" that is particularly useful for multiple EDR/flybuys cards management.

I think this version is well before the agreement with Klarna so that it may last forever?! I disabled all permissions to use it offline.

FYI, Supercards has sort options of Card Name, Last Usage and Usage Frequency.

    • Maybe I haven't added enough cards to see it? Last used should be active when there are only two cards.

  • StoCard emailed my backup to me and it was simple to import into Catima. Given that Catima is free and opensource I'm guessing will reduce the chances of them being sold or changing to a paid plan in the future.

  • I finally got the prompt on iOS that it didn't work anymore but it did transfer OK… until the weekend where it forced me to set a six digit passcode (and didn't like my usual one because it didn't meet whatever minimum requirement they have). Pain in the arse while I was trying to pull up a card at the checkout.

I only use it for static loyalty cards and don't want any of the other BS (back in the older days I literally just had photos of cards on my phone), but I'm lazy so this is fine for now. But I suspect they will poke again and again for stuff and I will get over that really quickly.
