I know this gets asked a lot, so trying to be more specific!
I now have a wedding to go to in Japan next April. I have always wanted to experience Sakura but have been too cheapskate… now I have no choice but to embrace the opportunity :)
I'm looking at flying into Osaka and out of Tokyo from Sydney, and Jetstar is looking convenient (nonstop to Osaka).
My question is should I purchase now? Or is there a possibility prices may drop?
Jetstar Japan April I'm thinking no :(
Leaving first week of April returning third.
Many thanks for your research and experience.

No Jetstar will not have an amazing price for Sakura season. Source….I got married 2nd week April and the cheapest Jetstar was $900.
I'm looking at $680 Sydney to Osaka (nonstop) and $550 Tokyo to Sydney (change in Cairns). I looked at full service airlines, but they all have stops except for Japanese carriers and Qantas which are decidedly more expensive. $1200 return to Japan on Jetstar a bit hard to swallow…
$1200 is not bad if it includes checked baggage, food, and onboard entertainment.
Well, we're talking Jetstar ;) which I went with for price and flight duration. I could have flown Cathay for around the same price, but with stops in Hong Kong both ways and 15 hour flights; with Jetstar 9 and 12 hours… and I do hate sitting on a plane.
What did they say when you asked them ???
Too many variables go into airline pricing -
fuel prices, which could go higher due to global conflicts
Lower demand for travel if economy takes a turn down etcSchool holidays start April 12 then you have a public holiday trifecta on April 18, 21 & 25. Unlikely that Jetstar will offer a sale for early to mid April.
Also around cherry blossom season, so possibly even more demand?
If you're happy with the price, do it!
Hard to say as you haven't listed the prices, but prices could go up, they could go down.
But you need to travel on a fixed schedule, so buy if you're happy with them.
