HP 14" Chromebook N100 4/64GB $317 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store/ to Metro/ OnePass) @ Officeworks

70

I've been needing a new Chromebook to replace my literally falling apart 8 year old Lenovo one, and was in Officeworks and saw these HP 14" chromebooks were marked down from $387 to $317, possibly price-beating JB Hifi? Website says not available online, but I ordered in-store just fine.

I think other Chromebooks were possibly marked down too, like the Lenovo 11" IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook Snapdragon7c/4GB/128GB @ $277. Someone else can confirm what this normally sells for.

Specs:
14" SVA display with a 1366 x 768 FHD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Quad-Core 3.4 GHz Intel N100 processor.
4GB RAM.
64GB internal storage.
Intel UHD Graphics.
Connections via Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6E, USB 3.0, USB-C (data, display and power delivery) and 3.5mm Audio.
12 month warranty.
12 hours battery life.
ChromeOS operating system.
720p integrated webcam.
Grey colourway.

    1366 x 768 FHD

    possibly price-beating JB Hifi?

These Officeworks ones are better than the JB HiFi ones. These have 1366x768 FHD screens. The JB HiFi ones only have 1366x768 HD screens.

    • Yeah atleast it ain't 768p on a 15.6in screen

…fhd means 1080p. One of the specs are wrong.

      • yea that's the joke

  • I can't help but think chuwi laptops are extremely attractive, given the price of N100 laptops sold locally lol.

Those are some abysmal specs lmao.. the joke "can it run chrome" has never been stronger

It runs good. N100 is pretty decent for basic desktop duties. A lot of mini-PC's also have the N100 (or similar spec N95/N97).

      • I've seen better specs for half the price for the N100 mini-PC's. Waiting on a deal to get a mini-PC N100 . If the chrome book was 12GB or 16GB rather than 4GB, it would be more attractive to get. At 4GB, it's garbage IMO

Duet 3 probably on sale because of the new model that's just been released.
(Typed on my OG Duet which still does me well as my travel Chromebook which cost me $267 August 2021)

The SVA panel is short for Standard Viewing Angle (a nicer way by HP to call it a TN panel) which is the worst kind of display panel tech that exists in the market.

    300-30 off at JBHIFI

  • A better model with 8GB memory and a touch screen is presently $349 directly from HP. I am tired of the fact that we only get low end Chromebooks. I would like one of the better Asus units available overseas since I prefer Chromebook to Windows these days.

    • Also has the N200 chip
