      Buyers Beware. I would not recommend buying from quiltsdirect. Good luck if you have any issue with your order or purchase. They don't answer their phone (finding their number is hard enough) or response to your voice messages. When you use their online contact form you get an auto-reply and all your subsequent emails get ignored. I cancelled my last order with them within 24 hours and they had repeatedly ignored my request for a refund. They acted as if they were entitled to the money. Eventually, I had to go through the transaction dispute process of my credit card to get my money back.

      Besides, you can get much better quality (higher density) and thicker memory foam topper elsewhere. e.g.

          I was cutting a long story short in order not to bore others with details. Other than the auto-reply that said "Your request (#) has been received, and is being reviewed by our support staff." I did not get a reply from their 'support staff' on my follow-up emails.

          Eventually I PM their REP here on ozbargain who replied and tried to sell me something else. When that failed after a few email exchanges, he did not even have the courtesy of replying to my emails about the refund.

          So what was I to make of their intention? To hold my money for safe-keeping?

          It amazes me how these on-line merchants never learn the importance of good customer relationship. Thanks to many reviewers here and elsewhere who had bothered to write-up to warn others of their bad experience, I was able to avoid some of the dubious traders.

      If there is a hand wash cycle on your washer it should be OK — the quilt can be delicate and some washers really twist and pull your doona hard.

    I wholeheartedly agree with the buyer beware sentiment as communicated above by EarlyBird. I ordered my mattress four (yes 4) months ago (8/8/2012) and still have not received it. The status is "Awaiting shipment". At purchase I did note that delivery could take up to 8 weeks (I think it was from memory) so I was not too worried even after 2 months, however after 3 months I decided to follow it up but could not find a phone number so had to email. A month after I sent that 1st email still no response, so I send an email asking for a refund just the other day on 3/12 and still no response so on 5/12 I send another email again asking that they either refund me or provide me with some compensation and they have only just replied just today at 12.48pm giving the usual business spiel but ending with "We would like to ask for your understanding and patience for the shipment."

    So yes, you may need extra-ordinary patience if you order from Quilts Direct.
