Navman MY65T GPS $79 in Store Only at Dick Smith

11

This is my first post. Dick Smith have the Navman MY65T in-car GPS for $79 on their website (instore only). Alot of the Melbourne stores in the eastern/south eastern suburbs appear to still have stock according to the store stock checker.

Comes with a 2 year warranty and 2 year subscription to map upgrades.

Read the reviews from net, and found it (My65T) not very attractive. Thanks for the post anyway.

  • I wouldn't touch another navman again. They don't fix major bugs like turning off when car turns off. They say oh well just fix in next version.

I agree, although voting down because you dont like the product is a bit rude.

Yes Navmans are crap, but its a good price, therefore a bargain to some

At the risk of some Negs…
I have just replaced my Navman MY60T with a TomTom. Summary of why
Navman maps showed a roundabout near my house that hasn't been there for about 3 years.
Navman traffic was terrible. Constantly shows a traffic jam for the past 6 months (even in the middle of the night) at a spot where I have never seen traffic even build up slightly.
Navman is can not be customised - only a few voices and icons.
    Tomtom was more user friendly.

On the plus side though, the Navman had a better cradle and an easy system for removing the unit from the cradle (so you can hide it when parking) without removing the suction cup from the window.

  • Better off spending a small extra amount and get free lifetime map upgrades. This unit only gets 2 years of updates. According to the reps from the DS stores I spoke to recently stated that they had received many MY6 series units for repair and had known faults. They couldn't recommend them.

  • returned my navman ezy 200 that i bought yesterday for $100. touch screen barely works, bluetooth kept disconnecting, wouldnt recommend it

Thanks for the post anyway. Found out something about Navman from fellow bargainers because of this post.
