Saw this in a Focal Price newsletter, not sure what the quality is like, but the specs looks good for the price. I haven't seen any tablet around 10" size in this price range from a brand that I have actually heard of, though Hyundai is probably better known for making vehicles and large machines than electronics. Here are the highlights for this tablet from the product page:

Android 4.1.1 operating system for you to freely download apps
Mail-400 quad graphic processor
9.7" IPS 2048x1536 touch screen, high definition up to 264ppi and contrast up to 800:1
Supports auto screenshot
The picture-in-picture function allows you to enjoy videos while browsing web
Supports 2160P HD video play and Flash 11.1
Enjoy 3D games with the smart G-sensor
Freely transfer data with the built-in Bluetooth (v2.1+EDR)
Take photos or make video calls using Skype, Facebook and other apps with the front & rear HD cameras
Supports external 3G and OTG for the connection of mouse, keyboard, USB flash drive, mobile hard disk
Ultra-fast web browsing over built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n

Probably the only thing it is missing is GPS and also charging needs to be done via the power port rather than the micro usb port.

Edit: I saw that the price on pandawill.com is cheaper from ozhunter's youtube link. It's cheaper by around $5 and both offered free shipping. I couldn't change the link to pandawill because apparently they are banned on OZB.

  • hope someone release some sort of review video before I pull the trigger…

Seems pretty good, battery life isn't great.

      • If you look at that video at 3:24, it says the screen resolution is 1600x1122. This looks like they have scaled down the res to get the performance they are showing.

        • Yea I wonder how the cpu/gpu would perform with that display.

    Another monster screen~

    • Retina screens, pfft…I'm waiting for macula or fovea screens… :p

      • +3

Yeah, but you'll probably have to wait for the D-Generation if you want a Macula screen.

  • Toshiba or moto are much better & Decent Brand.

Almost a NEG for calling it a Retina® display. It is in no way a Retina® display. Retina® is an apple trademark in regard to computers and mobile devices. Which I think is stupid, but if you are marketing to stupid people, I guess you need to dumb everything down. So please don't perpetuate this ridiculousness.

    • Sorry if it offends you, that is what focal price calls it in the email newsletter, I have no idea it is trademarked. I guess that is why the words were nowhere to be found on the product page itself. I don't think I can change the title once it has been posted, can I? The last thing I want is for OZB to get in trouble for a silly thing like this? Apple seems to litigate more than innovate these days..

    • Stupid? Is really any different to Windows®? Unless it's a technical term a company has a right to protect any branding they wish.

      • Like swipe to unlock… ;)

        • That's a patent, not a trademark.

        • Well, if we're to believe the most recent High Court ruling it's actually neither! :p

I am impressed that you bothered to type "Retina(r in a circle)"

      • ® to apple? since their shares drop 25% in 1 week….. maybe in few months time anyone can use it.
from coloured apple to black and white, two leaves to single leaf, golden apple to rotten apple (from news: shareholders calling 'em rotten apple)

Now this ladies and gentlemen is nonsensical ramblings of an ignorant nut job.

Retina is a good description for it.

    I think this is awesome.
But i'll wait for a Aniol Capitan(ETA feb, i think)!
Only because it 's cheaper and quad core.

Bad first experience dealt with focalprice. They said clearly that they only delivery to your paypal address but still waste a time for asking to re-confirm your address.
Day 1 : Paid via paypal
Day 2 : Received email for confirm the address (reply same day)
Day 3 : Received email from focal price saying thank you to confirm
    Day 4 : No News
Day 5 : Saying it out of stock, asking for wait for the next 7 days for re-stock (complain right away)
    Day 6 : No News
Day 6 : Received email saying will replace with similar product
Day 7 : Give 2 choices of much2 lower spec product
Day 8 : No news and still waiting what is going on with my product!!!!???

Hyundai making tablets???? OMG!!! What is the world turning into?

    • i think this is china no brand hyundai….
Hyundai electronics (Hynix) is very famous, their car in Oz is famous….. tablet ? likely not produced by Hyundai electronics

    • The very fact that they are using a Chinese SoC (Rockchip) says that they are probably not Korean.

  • Good find, but I'll await a review. I've bought a few cheap things from FocalPrice before and they are OK.

  • Do these babys have USB/Micro USB? Also do they have SD/Micro SD slots?

  • I've been keeping my eye on the "Retina" tabs (no pun intended) but not sure they are a good buy just yet.

One reason is that its thought these displays are the ipad rejects, and you can't be sure what you'll end up with.

Secondly, though the Rockchip 3066/Mali quad is a great cpu/gpu (I have a 9.7" 1024x768 tab and its nice and quick) once you are using it with a screen with quadruple the pixels, apparently it does take a performance hit. At least one of the models allows you to start the device in SD mode for faster performance (kinda defeats the purpose of that high res screen) though not sure if they all do this.

I think I've settled on waiting for the Ramos W30HD with 10.1" 1920x1200 and Exynos quad core under the hood, which will probably go for around the same as this model.

btw, your other options are the Chuwi V99, Cube U9GTV and Vido (Yuando/Window) N90FHD.
