You'll find the package you receive probably contains a small item of plastic jewellery.
You will set up a dispute claiming the item is the wrong one sent. You will need to send back the plastic jewellery at your expense…… You'll come to the conclusion that you have been scammed…. depending on your constitution, you may wish to take it further…. waiting the times given by paypal, paying the expense to have the item shipped back by registered mail etc….. or you may consider it an expensive lesson.

    perhaps…

I'll record the unboxing of the package. PayPal accepts this as evidence.

      • Even if you do that….To get your money back, I think you would still have to send the package back to the sender via registered mail which would cost you more than what you paid for the item.

you would be lucky if the sender does not respond to the Paypal's investigation enquiry, in which case Paypal would issue you a refund without having you to send the package back to the sender.

Let us know how you go. :)

The worst part — 19 sold since this morning (one guy bought 10).

Yeah I noticed that. He would be cheering if this ends up being a legit deal!

  • T&C are lifted from the DWI website, they didn't even bother changing the company name.
The location also doesn't seem to exist according to google maps.
It's an obvious scam, not sure why you wasted your time and possibly money on it.

I and 19 others are hoping for some sort of miracle obviously. It's no big deal, the money will get returned. 20 Claims of the same thing.. common sense says just refund them all.

      • common sense says just refund them all.

No it doesn't - it says, just hang off until a few of these claimants drop off and give up. Then we don't have to pay out so much and our per case clawback ratio improves.

ARGGHH Moots what have you done? That said I'm looking forward to finding out what happens!

  • let us know what happens!!

  • hahaha

lot of gullible people out there

lot of other really low unbelievable prices on buy it now for other items. Would i understand it if they were on auction and people bidding but not that price for buy it now.

  • "This listing (281037989957) has been removed, or this item is not available."

Well clearly a scam, any feedback?

  • I found a suspect item on ebay last month. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/84569

Maybe we should have a forum category (ebay scammers) with a sticky including some useful information such as andy19363's comments.

    • i think alot of us got stung a few years back with the $29 1tb drive. i ended up getting sent a few plastic bracelets. the only way paypal would give me the money back, was if i returned the item using a tracked method. would of cost nearly as much as the auction.

a few people i knew that bought one, did nothing and ended up getting there money back.
