$50 Bonus Cashback on $30 Spend via Cashrewards Add-On @ ANZ Plus App

Just came across this ads and looks like a solid offer if there isn't any technical issue with tracking etc. I believe many OzB members opened ANZ Plus account when they had the $50 referral program back then.

Make a single eligible purchase of $30 or more via the Cashrewards Add-On in the ANZ Plus app to earn $50 bonus cashback into your Cashrewards account. Offer valid until midday 18 December 2024 AEDT. T&Cs apply.

  1. If you haven’t already, join ANZ Plus and start exploring Add-Ons in the app.
  2. Add the Cashrewards Add-On in the ANZ Plus app. Join for free, or sign into your existing Cashrewards account via the Add-On.
  3. Browse the latest cashback offers through the Cashrewards Add-On. Spend $30 or more in a single eligible purchase during the promotion period to earn yourself $50 bonus cashback. T&Cs apply.
  4. Once approved, your $50 bonus cashback will appear in your Cashrewards available rewards balance which is viewable in the ANZ Plus app.

Qualifying transactions do not include purchases of gift cards or items ineligible for cashback, or purchases counted towards other Cashrewards bonus offers. The bonus cashback will appear as pending in your Cashrewards account within 7 days after you complete your qualifying transaction and will be approved within 7 days after your qualifying transaction is approved by the retailer. The bonus may not apply to purchases where a cashback claim is raised and needs to be investigated. In this instance, the bonus cashback may only be payable if the investigation confirms that the member has made a qualifying purchase. Only one Cashrewards account per person is allowed. Cashrewards will decline transactions and close all accounts including any associated accounts of members in violation of Cashrewards Terms & Conditions. This offer may be withdrawn at any time and is subject to change.

EDIT 26/11: Seems like the bonus cashback has started to appear for those who made purchases on 20/11. So it might take up to 7 days as per the T&C.

    submitted ticket….still waiting for a response.

    • Yep, happening far too often lately. I will not be using Cashrewards any more for purchases where the cashback is the main deal. It's like a lottery these days. And no rep on Ozbargain is disappointing considering this site would be their biggest source of traffic.

      Same thing happened to me. I submitted a ticket for a missing Cashback and said if they have to investigate a bonus Cashback. The Cashback value will be adjusted to $0

      So I lose if I don’t ask. And I lose if I ask

      The Cashrewards Add-On must remain installed in your ANZ Plus app until the promotion period ends.
      Gift card purchases or items ineligible for cashback do not count as qualifying transactions.
      The bonus cashback will appear as pending in your Cashrewards account within 7 days after completing your qualifying transaction. It will be approved within 7 days after the transaction is confirmed by the retailer.
      Bonus cashback may not apply if a claim investigation is required.

          I believe the requirement of the $50 Cashback was to purchase it via the ANZ Plus app via any payment method.

          I couldn’t see anywhere in the conditions that’s it had to be purchased with the anz plus card

            @lakers1222: Correct. I didnt purchase using ANZ Plus card, and tracked just fine. So does alot of other ppl.

      After couple of email exchange, finally got the $50 promo added into my account as "pending".

  • If it helps, my linked original shop’s cashback was approved 2 weeks ago, and til now the $50 bonus reward still Pending.
    My Rebel purchase from 21 Nov was approved on 13 Dec.
    So yesterday (2 weeks passed since 13 Dec) I raised a ticket for late approval. Guess we’ll see what their response gonna be

  • Mine didn't track, submitted a claim where they said it went through, but depends on the vendor confirming the transaction? That could be months seeing cashback company's timelines

      • CR already acknowledged the cashback but never got anything from ANZ…. How do ANZ know that the event occurred? They are the ones giving the credit not CR right?

    • I replied to their email from my initial ticket and they manually approved it for me

        Now they are saying what I purchased was not covered via this deal. Should have taken a screenshot.

        If it was not covered, why would it track an amount? Makes no sense to me.
