    Not sure if serious…

    Asus Zenbook UX31E-RY009V Ultrabook Laptop

Is $968 in this so called sale.
Why would you get that laptop (more than 1 year old model/new model out already, UX31A is the newer version), when you can get the UX31A for $1050 imported from America (the standard price) via bhphotovideo.com + UPS courier without any "special sales"? And that $1050 AUD price shipped for the newer model is not even Hardly Normal!

Yeah I was interested, til I realized the discount had already been applied

Too expensive for old stock imo

    • Still have to pay 10% on the way into Australia.

      • +4

No you don't, because the UX31A (the item itself) does not break through the threshold of $1000 AUD.
Once the item value breaks through $1000 AUD, GST payable (and customs fee) is calculated on the item AND shipping. The initial valuation of whether the threshold is broken or not is calculated solely on the item itself.

    • just wait for next year Q1 i mean February. U gone a like the new model of Asus light weight laptops. They haven't advertise it yet.

  • I can't really spot any outstanding deals. Anybody have better luck?

    • +1

nope. i think its 25% of rrp or some shit

  • nothing to get too excited about, to paraphrase JB hifi, Hardly Normal-you've done it again!

  • even with 25% off the Toshiba Satellite L850/0D1 still $738 with only i5, 4G ram, 750hdd and 7670m, hardly normal you'd better just press self destruct button …

Hey, show the "Kings of Technology" some respect

  • Harvey Norman are overpriced and usually only have "sales" on old models. They make their money from people who have no idea about technology and think it's a good deal… They'd need to have at least a 50% sale for any prices to be relevant…

  • I don't know about you guys but this seems okay

Of course I've been out of the laptop game for quite a long time so if anyone could kindly point out why it's over price (honest request not a sarcastic challenge) please feel free to do so.

    • Bang for buck, this hoses it away http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87986

      • cheers. you reckon price gonna go down lower

    • the toshiba ultrabooks screen flex too much. makes it seem very cheap

  • Worthless. Just buy a laptop from JB for $400. If it dies, chuck it and repeat.
