[ZIP] Boost Mobile $230 Prepaid SIM Starter Kit 12-Month (170GB, Expiry 11/04/2026) $179 Delivered @ auditech_online eBay

1540
SAV30ZIP

45c less and longer expiry date of SIM card than this offer.

I've confirmed with the rep that the April 2026 expiry date is correct for this plan.

Don't need to have Zip Pay to use code SAV30ZIP (for $30 off) = $179 when you pay with discounted eBay gift cards.

Here's a screenshot of the section on the eBay app where you place the eBay gift card codes. You add the Zip Pay code first. The eBay website will be similar.

Credit to @urahara for the following tip:

Select ZIP Pay as payment method which applies the code SAV30ZIP
Then buy a gift card using any of the services https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards
Enter the pin of the gift card at the same place where code was applied.

Credit to @AusNugz to choose Australia Post.

Make sure you select Aus Post if you can over Sendle.

From Seller's eBay description:

I'm on a similar situation and have the same concern. Thanks for checking OP!

@md333 @WhatsTheBigDeal Still waiting for the rep to reply. PMed almost 3 hours ago. (Zip Pay offer ends today.)

I'm not expecting the date to be a mistake. Based on the expiry dates of previous offers posted on OzB and listed on their website, April 2026 expiry date for this discontinued plan is plausible. Other earlier expiry dates for this plan were 06/01/2025, 14/07/2025 and 08/09/2025.

        • +2

Thanks OP, my current one expires in Aug 25, taking my chance and bought one!

          • +1

@jackychen: Same boat as you, had them confirming 2026 expiry for me this morning.

      • +2

Me too, but ordered already, and with Sendle haha (shot through a quick message asking to change to AP).

        • +5

@md333 @WhatsTheBigDeal @jackychen @ozhunter68 Rep has just confirmed 2026 expiry date is correct.

It's 2026 and that's the latest expiry you can get for the discontinued Boost 230

          • +1

@trixieb: Thanks. Just shot a quick message through ebay confirming that, but you already got onto it.

          • +2

@trixieb: thanks so much for the effort and confirmation @trixieb, appreciated!

          • +2

            @trixieb: thanks for checking

          • +2

@trixieb: Thanks mate just put the order thru for mine expiring early April next year, don't mind the loss of extra 10gb as I had only used about 120gb on average for past few years lol

  • RIP just bought Kogan for about this price

    • +2

Actually Kogan now doing $150 for 200GB so worth considering depending on where you live

bought $179 ebay gift card from woolies, bought it to activate next year when my plan runs out. thx op

    • How much discount did you get buying the gift cards from Woolies?

      • +5

@Tomstars241 3% discount at Woolworths Everyday Rewards App, choose Your Pick gift card and eBay is one of them listed.

  • Do I need to have an eBay account in order to use Woolworths gift cards?
I tried using guest account on eBay but there is no option to add gift card, every paying with credit card/paypal/afterpay (ebay guest account) doesn't give me the $30 discount.

    • +1

@teloskey Sorry I'm not familiar with purchasing as a guest and whether eBay gift cards (purchased from Everyday Rewards app) can be used with Zip Pay discount. I read this but it doesn't answer your question:

How to buy as a guest on eBay

Once you've found an item you'd like to buy, you can go to checkout to complete your purchase. Here's how:

      • Select Buy It Now on the listing.
      • Select Check out as a guest.
      • Fill in your delivery address, email address and payment information.
      • Select Confirm and pay.

You can buy without an eBay account as long as:

      • The item costs less than $6,000
      • The item can be purchased using Buy It Now. If you want to bid on an auction or send a Best Offer to a seller, you'll need an eBay account
      • You pay for the item using PayPal, a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay or Zip

      https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/paying-items/buying-gues…

P.S. Offer finishes in about 14 minutes.

  • It finishes in 10 min? no way, damn
Thanks for reply, looks like I will miss out.

    • +3

Unless you are super quick. There will be other offers as this SIM card is discontinued.

    • +5

If you're fast you won't miss out - I just bought Bupa Life Rewards $179 gift card and purchased this sim in about 3 minutes!

      • +2

        Speedy Gonzales haha

          @mbm is a professional!

          • +2

@trixieb: I am aspiring to get there one day, and it's people like you and them that give me hope and something to look up to lol.

  • I don't have an eBay account and paying as guest account, there was no option to put gift card number in, I didn't know it was expiring so soon, I'm new here my first post.

    • +2

@teloskey You probably can't use eBay gift cards as a guest based on this statement from "buy as a guest on eBay". eBay gift cards are not mentioned.

You pay for the item using PayPal, a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay or Zip

  • Damn the code expired as I was trying to buy giftcard on Macquarie app, luckily didn't buy giftcard yet.

    • I was thinking if I buy the gift card and the offer expires, what am I suppose to do with the gift card?
can it be refunded? anyone know

      • +3

@teloskey As a general rule, gift cards are not refundable.

  • Riddle me this: Somehow posting a deal with instructions for hoop jumping to obtain a $174 approx. sim deal has made it more appealing - go figure!

    • +2

They are a discontinued plan, cheapest current equivalent is $300/yr full price and this SIM has a long expiry, so appealing to a number of people who want full telstra coverage as cheaply as possible.

  • already expired..

  • +2

Just received an ebay message from auditech_online ebay confirming I will receive my sim with 2026 expiry date and sent via

Australia Post, so again great service from them for me.

  • I know it's expired. I'm damned if I could find a legit site where I could purchase a digital ebay gift card. RACV were out of stock of digital Ebay cards, how? And not on the everyday rewards app could I purchase one. I gave up. I'm sure they'll come again.

    • @Damngood Please don't give up :) 3% discount at Woolworths Everyday Rewards App, choose "Your Pick" Gift Card and eBay is one of the retailers listed.

      • +1

Thanks Trixie, at 1st still couldn't find it. Selected [Shop] and Search "Gift Card"….2 incorrect results. That's what I tried last night. This time I selected [Wallet] and there it was at the top. I wonder why the search couldn't find it. I'll wait for the next special now.

SIM kit received today. Expiry date 2026-04-11

  • I did the $2 Telstra port in approach and activated back to Boost <20 mins like other's experiences. Boost app says "expires on 22 Dec 2025" (I activated today). Confirming physical SIM package says "Expiry Date: 2026-04-11".

How do we feel about buying another one to activate closer to expiry in 2026 and hoping Boost honours it?

    • I think you are pretty safe with it being honoured until April 2026. If you are convinced it will still be the best deal for you by then.

  • Anyone else who hasn't received their sim yet? It's been 3 weeks and waiting….

    • +1

Sorry to hear. Was there any tracking info?

Best to contact the seller either PM on OzB or on eBay.
