microsoft usb key - did anyone receive it?

hi all, just curious if anyone recieved their usb key from microsoft for filling out the survey about 1 or 2 months ago?

  • Not yet, but I have been in contact with customer service about it. Their first question was whether I received any mail correspondence about the offer. Needless to say, no I havent. Anyway I will keep you posted if I get any sort of resolution.

  • Step 2 in this saga… they said that all updates should have been received by 7 November but my update didnt happen till 8 November when in fact it was in October that i updated it. Its almost like they are trying to get out of it now.

    I gave them tons of personal info. It would be quite annoying if they didn't come through. Actually it will change my attitude about the company.

    Surely they'll do as they say… eventually.

  • I posted in the actual deal thread but here is the outcome…

    Update: After several emails back and forth where Microsoft first claimed my response was received after the deadline date (which I promptly refuted) and then being escalated to another area for review, I got this reply today.

    "Thank you for your patience.

    This offer was by invitation, and was a direct offer to a specific business customer list. The completion of valid business information was to be received by Microsoft by November 7, and you does not appear on our customer list of eligible participants."

    Yes the "you does not appear…" is how my reply was typed. Not only do they suck at customer service but their grammar sucks too!
