[Pre Order] Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB $437 ($237 With Code) on JB 24M $99/M Plan (in-Store, Port-in Customer) @ JB Hi-Fi

2360

*For those that are seeking a $200 code there are some in the chat that have had success by asking the JBHIFI live chat and tell them that you lost the $200 code in your email, there are some that have received the $200 code a day later in their email as it seems they’ve added them in to send a code.

$1700 off the new s25 Ultra with the $99 p/m jbmobile plan if you port in.

$237 is only if you use the $200 samsung signup promo code otherwise it’s $437. As this is a mobile plan you go in store to signup, show them the $200 preorder code they should give you the further discount.

Plan : $237 ($437 without code) + $99 p/m over 24 months.

If you cancel: $237 + $800 + $99 =$1,136 ($1037 if you can get first months charge refunded)., you will need to pay the voucher repayment fee as stated in terms

Voucher Repayment Fee

6.2 If you received a JB Hi-Fi Voucher when you purchased your Mobile Service and you cancel
that Mobile Service within any applicable Voucher Term, you must pay us the outstanding
amounts for the JB Hi-Fi Voucher you received for the cancelled Mobile Service (the Voucher
Repayment Fee).

6.3 The Voucher Repayment Fee is a pro-rata amount, equal to the total amount of the base
Voucher divided by 24 and multiplied by the months (or part months) remaining in your
Voucher Term.

Max cancellation fee is $800. The $99 first months charge In past deals I’ve usually got this refunded though if you’re really nice, but be aware in case if you are unable to get the $99 refunded. T&C: https://www.telstra.com.au/help/critical-information-summari…

Also keep in mind this deal is for porting in your number, so if you’re planning to cancel you could get a $5 Aldi sim and port in with that.

        • No. Port IN or new customers. I signed up as a new customer and got a new number.

  • Anyone signed up yet and cancelled? Just wanted to know if u paid 1700 or 800.

    • +6

Its 800. Confirmed with telstra live chat

  • +5

wife has s22 ultra and loves to use s-pen to take selfies, they removed bluetooth from s-pen in this version. she was upset and i was happy that there will be less selfies

    • +3

Don’t tell her the open hand trick

  • If you cancel how much is the final total we are paying for S25 Ultra?

    • The cancellation is $800 or $400 after 12 months. So total cost would be $1037.

      • Are you sure about $800, as there are other comments mentioning that cancellation of voucher is Pro-rata based i.e. if I cancel in first month, I will have to return $1700 of voucher?

$200 voucher is Galaxy2025 that JB accepted and reduced price by $200 or is it some JB's own voucher?

  • Anyone tried to get port in credit from Telstra yet?

  • +4

Just ordered it. Can confirm the $200 voucher works, but be sure to tell them before they start processing it, there was a big (profanity) and they had to refund my order and start over because apparently it has to go through before they take the $1700 off.

    • Perfect.

So 237 out of pocket today?

      • Yep.

        • +2

          Bargain.

        • Plus $800 cancellation or $99x24 if not

          • @8azinga: Its less hope to get the $200, I might need to pay $437+99+800=1336. Maybe the Education route is less hoops: 1879.2 - 150 - 400 + 31 = 1360.2

          • @8azinga: Aye?

  • +1

Meh, exactly the same phone as last year, nothing new.

    • +4

      5 is new

      • +2

        Fair point.

  • No more Bluetooth Spen features on the s25 ultra

  • Hmmmm not saying this doesn't work as people seem very sure about it, but reading the voucher repayment clauses, it reads that if the voucher is $1700, then I'd repay 23/24th of the voucher if I cancelled after 1 month or the full $1700 if I cancelled right away. Ie. After 12 months, voucher repayment would be half of $1700 = $850.

    What am I missing here?

      Hope that link works

      • +1

Thank you, that's good to know

      • Champ.

      • Thx mate. Worked fine and appreciate it. Just worried that I sign up assuming that will be the case then suddenly, get a bill saying I owe $1700 or close to it based on what the term in the contract seems to state. LOL

        • +1

Haha all good. Ive done it once before and had no issues!!

    • +2

Youre buying the phone straight out, its not part of any plan or contract. Once its done its final. I did it this morning. The way they do it is that after you sign the contract, which is seperate from the phone, they give you a $1700 giftcard which you then use to buy the phone. Youre only liable for the plan, which if you cancel you have to pay $800.

  • Hey, I wonder if this offer is better than samsung website for those who doesnt have edu/epp access… Is it correct?

    • This one better if you got nothing to trade.

      • Even with the $400 trade in bonus I couldnt find it cheaper…
        After I added all coupons:
Your $100 Galaxy eVoucher+ has been applied!
        Voucher applied! $200 eVoucher discount.
        Voucher applied! $400 Trade-In bonus.

        I got a total of $1632 for S25U 512 + Bud Pro 3

Returning the buds pro I believe I would refund $263…

So the phone itself would cost $ 1369… plus $60 adm fee for not returning the phone to a total of $1429….

I dont think it worth… I'll probably get this one from JB instead

    • +1

I have access to epp but this was still a better deal for me. After all the discounts and trade ins it worked out for me on the samsung store to come down to about $600 + my S24 U. I paid $237 at JB and still have my S24 which Mobile Monster will give me $950 for, so even if I cancelled the JB plan and had to pay the $800 fee the new phone has only cost me $87.

      • -5

You need to pay 1700 not 800 for plan cancellation

        • +4

Thats not true. I have the contract in front of me. Its $800, decreasing each month you keep it. The $1700 isnt part of the contract, its just a regular giftcard they give you to buy the phone after you sign the contract.

          • @Jamie007: Does the $800 decrease over 24 months to zero?

            • +1

@asc: It only says its relative to the length of your remaining contract, but JB told me that its $400 after 12 months so I can only assume it eventually goes to zero.

              • +1

@Jamie007: Buying it from the epp store and not sending your s24 should still be cheaper.

  • Glad to have sold the s23 ultra for $900 before Christmas. Samsung phone's value retention is a joke. The inflated pricing too.

  • Will we still get the phone even if we cancel the contact?

    • Yes, the phone isnt under part of the plan, youre buying it straight out.

      • We have till 13th feb to do this right.

      • So we can just keep the gift card and don't buy the phone? Or will they not give the gift card upfront?

  • Is the $200 code from JBHIFI or Samsung ?

    • jbhifi

      • okay thank you . that makes more sense. Because samsung has their own $200 one

    • From JBHIFI

    • -4

As I understand, the $200 Code is from Samsung. The sign up code which comes in an email from Samsung. Please read OP’s post carefully.

  • -1

Does anyone have a JB code for $200 off that they arent going to use?

    • Or is it easy for them to give it at the store upon request perhaps ?

I'd be interested in the JB code as well if you are not gonna use… I applied but never got the code

  • Can we still cancel if we have done this previously for the s24 ultra deal with jbhifi?

  • Can the $800 cancellation be paid using JB gift card?

    • +1

No. The $800 is payment to Telstra

  • When signing up, $1700 gift card upfront or they leave it until the phone is released?

  • Crossed out $800 cancellation fee, is that mean didn't work anymore?

  • +2

Can we get the updated information about it still being $800 maximum payment on the termination fee added again, it seems to be adding extra confusion in new comments with people thinking they will pay $1700.

    • would love to know as well! has anyone went in and asked a jb staff for confirmation? pretty confusing now, as apparently admin removed the voucher deal info? I looked back at the s24u deal a few months ago, the terms and conditions are the same as this one, as perhaps anyone who did that deal and cancelled, can share if they paid 800 or 1700?

  • Forgive me for my dumbness

I am currently with boost with one of those yearly recharge deals

If I port in from boost then cancel telstra can i get back on my boost plan?

    • No the boost plan will disappear

      • I'm thinking get an aldi sim port to telstra, port back to aldi

Cancel aldi and continue boost aha

        • You don't need to port back to aldi. Just get the aldi sim and register it with a new number. Place the aldi sim into your phone as they will send you codes to this number. Once signed up, just cancel through chat and Put back your boost sim.

          Just did this today.

  • Hi I just ordered s25 ultra 256 GB for 947.60$.

    Applied 20% employee discount
    400$ trade in bonus
    100$ voucher
200$ GLAXY2025 voucher for case, screen protector and galaxy buds . Planning to return galaxy buds so I will be getting for phone with case and protector for 780$

    • Hello arjun1985,

How did you got it 947.60$? s25 ultra 256 GB is not available for order.

    • +1

Looks like you ordered the phone through Samsung not through jbhifi? The $100 and $200 vouchers you mentioned are not applicable at jbhifi

  • I spoke to my local JB. They transferred me to the local Telco manager. He confirmed that the cancellation is a maximum of $800. Unfortunately he wasn't able to find any mention or offer the extra $200 discount. I had mentioned I had the Samsung coupon for it.

So according to him, the total cost would be $437 (phone) + $99 (first month) + $800 (cancellation) = $1,336.

For me, I'll be trying to go Samsung EDU route as it'll be a little cheaper plus free accessories.

If anyone could share how they were able to acquire the extra $200 discount, that would be great. Thanks!

    • Had to register with JB a week or 2 ago

    • I think that was the code sent to users who signed up from email sent by Jb hifi about S25 launch. Is there any other code?

  • Sorry, where are people getting the $400 trade in bonus from? Samsung website is only giving me trade in value of $450 for my pixel 8 pro, no additional $400 bonus.

    • Ask Samsung live chat for it or use Samsung Members app and get it there. You'll get an extra 5% off using Samsung Shop app (Android) too.

      • Just tried the members app, there's no trade in bonus there.

    • You had to register

      • Sorry, register for what? I registered for the galaxy unpacked event, but all that's given me is a $200 off voucher for accessories.

  • Hi all sorry I forgot to mention I am trading iPhone 11 128gb for 160$. so finally I will be getting for 940$

    • thank you for clarification. That's number make sense. cheers!

  • How to return once I received the galaxy buds and get refund ? Please guide

    • Create a return by going into your order details and look for return option.

    • -1

Assuming you want to return for a refund? Does Samsung offer a full refund or a voucher for future purchases?

  • Can anyone confirm, if i port to Optus today, can i get this tomorrow? I'm with Telstra currently. I actually want to keep the phone and plan.

  • -2

Does anyone think this will be released next week for anyone who pre-ordered? I'm heading overseas for a couple of weeks and want to get the GST off as well.

    • How much gst can one claim if you pay only a few hundred dollars for the phone?

      • +1

The invoice shows the full amount

    • +1

      Release date is 14th Feb.

    • only up to 900 yer?

  • Does the port in number have to be on the same name as the invoice? I want the invoice on my name and port a family member's number.

While this deal will work, you can get a cheaper price direct and simpler outright from Samsung with some creative code stacking over at https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/890072. Westpac Rewards has Samsung EPP 15%. Education EPP has 20%. Others like gov or certain companies have Samsung EPP stores too.

I calculate my s25ultra 512gb to be $1,020 delivered direct from Samsung. You can get it even cheaper, about $135 cheaper if you have access to the education epp. I paid $1170 outright for s25 ultra 512gb which included a silicone case and galaxy buds3 as well, I'm gonna cancel or return the $200 accessories, and then get hit with the $30 no-show trade in so it's $1,020 incl the evoucher in #4 below.

    The TLDR
    1) start wth EPP store (westpac rewards has 15% discount, otherwise education store has 20%). I only have a Westpac debit/transaction account. First shop on the EPP also has an additional 5% discount applied automatically.

    2) call in or chat request Samsung for the $400 trade in bonus code. They're giving it out freely over the chat or phone. Phone was instantly answered. They basically offered it to me, barely had to ask.

    3) additional $150 trade in bonus is automatic

    4) last day to buy the $20 evoucher link that's worth $100. Takes half a day to arrive (says up to 72hrs on FAQ). Took hours just to get the order confirmation email. Can be used for $100 value until 13th Feb.

    5) either actually trade in your old phone or just choose a cheap phone and mark it as broken to bring the value down to $1, and don't actually trade it in. You will get charged $30 fee ($60 if you don't mark the phone as broken as part of the checkout process) The trade in bonuses will still apply. Weirdly they charge you the value of this trade in ($1 in my case), presumably to hold you to actually trade in your phone. They also took ID details and mobile phone number as part of the trade in process which I wasn't a fan of.

    6) $200 worth of accessories with the code GALAXY2025 which can be returned (or cancelled) like in previous years.

Much prefer this approach than to go in store, wait around to sign up for a 2 year plan and then cancel afterwards which I've done before

    • I can't get my cart to go in that cheap
      EPP for S25U 512gb $1879.20
      Trade in bonus - $150
CMP code for trade in -$400
      Spend $20 to get $100 off -$80
not sending in phone/trade in +$31
      = $1280.20

Galaxy2025 for $200 worth of accessories
      +/- $200

Net price still $1280.20 if I get exactly $200 worth of accessories, what am I missing?

      JB hifi price
      S25U 512gb
      $237(with voucher)
      +$800 break contract
+99 first money if not refunded(I've had success with this in past)
      totals $1136
      with potential to be;
$213.3 (10% off jb gift card to pay the $237)
      $800 break contract
      Refunded $99
      = $1013.30

      • Reckon it's the additional 5% for 'first' order that's automatically applied when I click through from Westpac EPP.

I'm also assuming I'm going to return the $200 of accessories which you should factor in for a like for like comparison. Theres also no guarantee you'll get the first month refunded $99, I couldn't get that last time. Seems to be on the whim on which agent answers your calls.

I didn't factor in any discounted jbhifi gift cards to pay the $237 either so there's that.

But yeah it's close either way. The lesser of two inconveniences for me is the Samsung way I guess.

        • If I to open a Westpac account tomorrow, how long I can access the Samsung EPP?

          • +1

            @sajuuk: Presumably instantly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

        • Can I confirm what the price of the s25u 512gb assuming I open a westpac account jsut for this purpose, would I get the 15% + 5% as a 1st time user? Is it $1879?

How do you cancel/return the accessories and what value do you get for it? A $200 refund as store credit? Or discount on the phone?

          • +1

            @Perennial: yeah $1879 for 512gb.

https://www.pictr.com/images/2025/01/23/xpo4JO.png there's an option to partially cancel the order i haven't tried.

You should be able to return for free as well for cash refund.

            • @lawyerz: Thanks. Have you succesfully returned free products for cash before? It sounds a little strange that they would refund products purchased by the voucher for cash? Do you post it back or return it at a samsung store?

              • @Perennial: Despite the voucher conditions, the voucher is applied to the whole order and not just the accessories specifically. The reason this works is that while in the checkout the discount appears to apply equally to all products, but in the invoice, the products appear as full price with a separate line item at the bottom for discounts.

I have no experience in the return process so cant answer your other questions as this is my first samsung phone since s6. You can read the comments thread over in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/890072 and for the s24 ultra last year as well - lots of people did them last year and this year the customer support seem to confirm you can just return it again as well.

edit: I have JUST cancelled one of my 2 accessories linked to the phone without issues. I cancelled the galaxy buds 3 which was $170, My total now shows $1000. You have to leave at least ONE accessory in the order or it'll auto select the phone to cancel as well.

                • @lawyerz: Hey, almost there! when were you removing the accesories from the cart? before or after payment?

Everytime i try to do it beforehand it cancels the evoucher and i lose the discount

                  • @Perennial: after. and you might need to wait until you get the order confirmation email which might take a few hours.

                    • @lawyerz: Didn't work, got some error. Strange as I accidentally bought an extra case and was well above the $200 even without it. I cant remove anything

Called support and they said only option is to cancel the order entirely. Seem to think anyone who was able to done it on a glitch and they fixed it

                      • @Perennial: That's fine just return it after. Don't sweat it.

                        • @lawyerz: If you ordered directly through Samsung, were you able to return any accessories after they were delivered? Samsung chat support informed me that returns are not possible, stating: "Since you got this device for a discounted price, we really cannot do a partial return or replacement."

                          • @EssendonUser: I ordered directly and managed to cancel the accessories I didn't want. So I didn't go down the return route. They probably closed the loophole. My final price $1020.
