@mickey888: It's usually after 6pm (on a weekday with a 9pm closing time). Some do it a little earlier, some later.
@wavesgreen: Anyone reading this, LPT: Woolies is earlier, and easier to find out as they print the time on the tickets :)
I know almost remember all of staff(store manager or duty store manager or some staff names) names who printing mark down bar code every day.

Geez the Coles in my area Glen Eira are super stingy by comparison. Short dated stuff for the next day if not same day for less them 10%.
If this is what you're seeing, head in later in the day/evening. They usually get to a point where it hasn't been taken yet and they slash them harder.
