Jeez, did they mistakenly put this up for Australians and not the Americans?

I'm not sure if Grill'd burgers are worth it even at the $8.5 per burger mark, but this promotion appears targeted to specific UberOne members or store specific.

    • Simply Grill'd ..more like simply not worth it

  • Screenshot doesn't show what the actual promotion applied is or what store. I can't replicate it at any of the stores near me.

Likely a specific account or store discount.

Looks like OP has a 50% off uber eats first order discount.

    Neg, because it's Grill'd.

These are the people who put their staff on "traineeships" in order to pay them below the award and claim government vocational grants for providing "training," claimed $28.3m in COVID grant funding (might as well rebrand to Gerry Harvey's burgers), and manage to vote in EBAs which are shithouse for their staff (and even the notoriously shit "employer's union" who sells out their members - the SDA - opposed) … all whilst charging $25 for a burger lol.

They do offer vegetarian and vegan options.

Maybe they should offer a no rort/exploitation menu too.

I don't get your point. You're saying that offering vegan options excuses the killing of animals? There's really no such thing as an "ethical" fast food restaurant (except perhaps Lord of the Fries). I don't get why you're singling out Grill'd.

          • @MrZ: the point is that you can avoid that "ethical dilemma" if you wish by choosing an alternative that avoids the "meat is murder" ethical issue, whereas I can't walk into a Grill'd and ask for a steak burger that was only made by staff paid proper wages and without abusing government grants. But also, it's because I don't give a shit about the ethics of veganism or vegetarianism.
Whereas I do have an issue with exploitation of labour laws (particularly when their staff are generally teens) and of my taxpayer funds. Last I checked, Grill'd are the only chain who systemically and continuously (since before COVID) exploit their staff and government grants.

@ol mate: Nobody is forcing anyone to work for Grill'd. If you voluntarily choose to work for them, how is it exploitation?

"But also, it's because I don't give a shit about the ethics of veganism or vegetarianism." - of course, it's so much more important that people get an extra $3/hour, than anything else. It's always people before animals.
