Curious to know if this range extender can connect some legacy device only support connection through WPS..

    • No WPS, AFAIR. But I have it and I highly recommed it!

    • It has WPS connection.

    • Which legacy device only supports WPS?

      • Old SolarEdge Inverter

    • +1

Do not use WPS. It’s 2025

  • Installed this a few months ago at a friends place. So far no complaints

  • I have one, it works well and would recommend it

    • +1 here

router at the front of the house, extender at the rear, have signal in the backyard

  • +2

    No delivery outside metro.

    • +2

yeah amazon the metro only store

  • How does onemesh compare with aimesh? My ac86u is giving up the ghost, needs to be rebooted every day along with 2x ac68u in mesh. Is TP-Link onemesh a better platform?

    • +1

Tp-link use easymesh now so you can mix with other brands that use easymesh.

  • +3

For a few bucks more, you can have a mesh extension capable router with four ethernet ports.

    It's 2025. Stop using these.

    • Why?.. whats new in 2025 thats better for $59?

    • I use a range extender connected to a switch which gives all my devices without wifi access, access to the other devices on my network. It's a perfectly legitimate use case and it performs really well.

Sometimes it pays to think outside the box before making a blanket statement.

Checking utube reviews: The model on Amazon is the Range Extender version not the Mesh version. Two different boxes apparently.
The say Mesh switches automatically to strongest signal, while range extender hangs on until signal drops and then device reconnects to strongest signal.
Also Mesh model version offers WPS connectivity.
    Can anyone confirm this?

  • Edit to previous post:
Two versions are made by tp link.
V3 is not mesh compatible ( disconnect /reconnect).
V4 is mesh/easy mesh compatible (seamless access).

Can anyone confirm if this offer is a version 4 (easy mesh compatible)?

  • +1

I had a V3 I believe, it went straight to bin.
All it does is degrade rather than extend.
At some point you'll get sick of power cycling it every few days

  • +1

    If possible, use Mesh instead.

  • looks like the deal expired

  • Yes, now $79.
Pretty sure this is NOT mesh compatible as Version 4 box has ‘Mesh’ in top corner, and seamless transition at the bottom. This one shows a Version 3 box which has ‘Wide compatibility’ in top corner and no mention of seamless transition at the bottom.
