Sunglass Hut Dodgy? Bought Ray Ban Sunnies

Hi guys,

Purchased the interchangeable Ray ban sunnies – http://www.sunglasshut.com/au/54137

Does it usually come with a total of 3 pair lenses? Mine only came with 2 – Green and a brown polarized one. I checked Ebay, other links and they come with 3 pair lenses.

The major issue I found was when changing it to the polarized lenses the top frame of one of the side is not aligned properly with the lense and the sales person said it is due to it being interchangeable and it is polarized so it is slightly thicker lenses but when comparing the both different lense they look the same thickness. I still believe there is a fault with the frame/polarized lense. (This is after I purchased it and had a play around and went back to inquire the issue).

You'll see it on the left hand

This is the green lense that is perfect though

Anyways since I got it at a good price $134 originally 260, I kept it for now. They have a 14 days refund, hope its not store credit.

Anyone else have this issue with their interchangeable sunnies?

Regards
Czz

  • Not sure but they are quite dodgy. I only buy from them because of the 40% family friends sales, got new Rayban 3483 and a pair of Oakley earlier in the year.

Neither of the sunglasses came with boxes/paperwork and were just sold straight off the shelf and still had some smudges on the lenses. Their refund policy is good though, so if you are worried then try it out.

  • lol nubzy, that is very dodgy. Mines came with boxes thought.

  • To check if its authentic lenses, hold your sunnies directly into a light source. There should be an "RB" inscribed on either the left or right lens.

My old pair was fine, bought from Sunglass hut. Maybe you got a bad batch?

  • If you are not happy just take them back. 14 days doesn't matter if they are not as they should be. If they offer store credit just say no you want a full refund, they cant make you take a store credit.

I would go in and try another pair on if it was me. If they are better thats when you ask for them to be swapped over.

  • Unlikely to be fake. Sunglass Hut is owned by Luxottica which also owns Ray-Ban.
