has half the products as inelligible smh 🤦‍♂️, hopefully other cash back programmes match this

    • +3

Unfortunately Apple set the exclusions across all partners.

      • some partners* cashrewards still has mba m4 as eligible at 1.3% i believe

        • +3

That’s because CR haven’t updated their list since February 21st, before those products were announced.

          • +2

@MaximumEffort777: if they havnt updated it, u could argue its their fault unless they intend for it to be included …

            • +1

@omahgah: While I agree they’ll just say they overlooked it and reject the cashback.

            • @omahgah: SB updated to the new exclusions provided by Apple last night. CR were sleeping and they're not going to be able to pay out. Apple will reject the transaction.

Thanks OP, but on account of the myriad exclusions, it’s not exactly perfect or even usable by anyone looking to buy most products released in the past year. Since that would likely represent the overwhelming majority of purchases - who instead of receiving 7%, would receive 0% - a cynic may suggest it’s a promo designed to trick anyone who doesn’t read the fine print.

    • +3

for real, title should be changed to say "many exclusions apply"

    • +3

I was looking at getting a 14” MBP, looks like those aren’t excluded

    • Nope. M4 is ineligible like many other current gen releases.

      • Didn’t see the updated list whoopsies

  • +2

    MacBook Pro M4 ,here I come .. it's not excluded right ?

    • +2

It seems to be about the only thing included! What a long list of exclusions :(

  • -1

use GC 10% off is better than cashback.

    • +2

      Can do both

      • wow really, didnt know that, good deal

    • +2

u can use BOTH ! - load the giftcards into apple balance and purchase through the affiliate links !

    • I’ve never bought a whole stack from Coles or Woolies - seems a bit painful for 3%?

Just saw above - got it!

    • Where do you buy 10% GC?

      • +9

        https://freepoints.com.au/ & https://gcdb.com.au/offers/

are great websites to track gift card/points deals - it's on atWoolworths till this coming Tuesday, get in quick !

      • Woolworths.

Fingers crossed the gift cards at the Woolworths you go to are not tampered…

        • my new version apple giftcard got tampered, the code was missing a few number

        • +1

open in front of cashier and then pay

    • Where. Link?

  • How does the trade in work? Would I still be eligible with trade in?

  • Have not used gift cards before but I have noticed that Bupa offers Apple gift cards at 5% off, can it be stacked?

Would use of gift cards affect any potential warranty claim?

    • -1

woolworths has them for on special, but u get paid in "rewards dollars"

yes can stack, literally read some of the comments on these threads

      • +1

        thanks. sorry new to this

the woolworths deal is great but hasn't there been issues with tampering of apple GCs?

        • +1

rare cases id say, more prominent in big cities due to higher traffic. but no problems for me so far - as long as u buy them and immediately load them onto your apple account balance there should be no issues (no chance for code generators to potentially match your purchased code)

  • Apple Watch not listed under exclusions but does cash back still count when buying it through the education store? Seems like the price is the same

    • Why would you buy from the edu store if price is the same? I always just buy from regular store if price is the same in both stores to save me from the hassle in case they ask for eligibility proof.

      • For the increased cashback rate.

        • My bad. Thought this deal also included the regular store. After reading the exclusions, I lost interest!

  • Is it worth it returning the MacBook Pro I bought last week for the 7% cashback and ordering again? it would save me an extra $120 roughly

    • +1

Yes but there’s a risk that cashback won’t be tracked or the new MBP you receive is not as good as the one you have now (screen tint, coil whine, port problems etc.)

  • Does this cover the ipad accessories. Or the new iPad Air m3 Magic Keyboard? It’s not in the exclusion list

  • "Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards". What about Apple Account Balance? They are practically the same but not exactly. Thanks.

    • Last time I paid with Giftcards it tracked. There was a delay until it was posted for tracking to appear which in my case was 1 week.

  • Thanks bought an iPad Pro + Apple Pencil.

  • Bought the Macbook Pro, any one get tracked already? Tho it says 1- 2 days.

    • +1

From last experience, it only tracks hours after picking up or delivery.

      • Valid data point, thanks for sharing!

  • Mac 4 mini included?

    • Yeah it's not in the exclusions that I can see.

  • Got a Mac mini M4. $678 after Woolies Rewards and cash back.

    • Not possible me thinks. Lowest you can get it down to is $711. Edu $850 price after 7% cashback (gst removed) and 10% giftcard discount.

  • +1

While the 16e is excluded, given the cashback and discounted gift card, there is absolutely no reason to buy the 16e over the standard 16.

  • Great deal OP cancelled my AOC order for this. Only a $20 saving but got free Airpods Pro!

  • What’s the difference between Education and normal stores? Guessing you can only access with a student ID?

    • The Education store is meant for students (Uni), educators and parents buying for Uni students and offers some discounts and promotions not available on the regular store.

You don’t need to provide a student ID at the time of purchase is it’s online but may be asked for it in store when ordering or collecting. The illegitimate workaround is ordering online and having the order delivered, where you’re not asked for a student ID.

Ordered a M4 iPad Pro with pencil and Magic Keyboard…

Doesn't show Apple website in the "visited merchants" list…. assuming take s while to update.

    • Same experience with me too.

Here are the links for the clicks: (Not visible on the app)

        • Your last click.

        • All clicks with times made in the last 100 days.
          Click "I understand continue".
Look for ''Apple" in the retailer list.
This is also where you submit a missing cashback claim after 7 days from purchase if untracked.

        • +1

Legend. Thanks. Shows today. Always sceptical when it takes so long

  • Does this work with Apple Education Union Store?

  • It states Apple refurbished also qualifies. Is that at the full 7% or 2% rate?

    • Is it from the education store?

      • No man, I am asking about the Refurbished store.

        • Then it will be 2%. 7% is on the education store.

  • 8% cashback via ShopBack (4pm-10pm AEDT) + 2% Westpac bonus ($20 cap per purchase)

Could potentially use it as highest cashback guarantee at TCB

  • Did anyone receive a message asking for further identity? Appears to be from DHL but worried it is a scam

    • Ignore. Legit DHL would never ask your ID. At least not with the 100+ packages including Apple orders I have received that were handled by DHL in the past.

      • Okay thanks for the comment!

  • I ordered Macbook pro for $2349 and got the free airpods via the deal. The cashback amount was calculated on the laptop price of $2050 instead of the total proce of $2349.

So the total cashback tracked was $130.45 instead of $149.48. What was your cashback amount?

    • I believe they’re excluding GST

      • If we calculate 7% cash back on ex gst amount it should result in cash back around $149

        • Need to take off the cost of the free Airpods as well before calculating the 7% cashback.

  • my $299 airpods tracked few hours after it was shipped.
my macbook pro was shipped yesterday but that still hasn't tracked yet?
    anyone else having tracking issues?

  • hi, did anyone get CB for buying Apple from the education store using this deal? I initially got headphones only tracked but now that has been declined, saying Apple declined! What is the use of doing this Deal when they are going to just simply decline.

    • lol i didnt read this part - The following are ineligible for cashback (updated 05/03/2025): New MacBook Air (M4) 13” & 15”.
I logged a support ticket and they took back the headphones cash back lol
