Referrer and referee get $20 after referee's 1st purchase of $90+.
would rather it be 32gb of ram without the 3050
What a pointless comment.
Find me a laptop with the R9 395 for $1300
Find me a dog that is yummy.
😆😅😄😅
Hot dog!
yes, next question
But this laptop has a 8845HS with a 780m internal though
There is literally a single $4500 laptop/tablet with that chip for the foreseeable future
isn't the 395+ z13 literally $4000?
Those Acer nitro 5 with the underwatted 3060s for under $1k sure have stood the test of value from years ago.
This is still not a bad price even if it didn't have the dedicated graphics card in it.
This is a thin and light with a HS processor, not some ultra low voltage CPU. The ram and HDD are suitable for most as well.
They are compact and built well. If I didn't own the previous version, I probably would have picked this up.
Exactly. I've had the Gen 7 (6800U / 680M) for a few years now and it still manages to impress me from time to time. Cyberpunk at 30FPS on an iGPU.
touch it have touch
No
I can see chinese cyber army vote down anything got negative/neutral comment on their products.
Acer has had 3050's for under $1k in the Acer Swift series before

Older CPU though
Yeah not a combo of specs I would buy for any price. 16GB of non-upgradable ram is a huge dealbreaker for me. Maybe okay for someone who wants to watch YouTube and scroll social media. But an iPad is better for that.
This has a much better built chassis + keyboard than say an Asus Zenbook 14 (eww, ceraluminum) etc at around this price range. But the 90hz IPS screen and 16gb soldered ram kind of hurt.
Excellent for 1.3k + dgpu though, especially if the software you use requires decent driver support, CUDA/Nvenc etc (both AMD / Intel igpu are very unstable in video editing, CAD etc.)
90hz is perfect for this machine, not like you can game at the native res with high fps anyway
Only $80 extra to upgrade to 1TB of memory.
Unnecessary GPU
I actually need something like this to use as a portable CAD machine. The dedicated graphics card help with renders for raytracing.
The issue is the lack of upgradeable RAM.
Anyone seen an alternative with atleast 32GB RAM, upgradable preferred so I can stick in more if needed?
i agreed, 32gb ram would make this perfect
Would personally buy an entry level M4 air over this.
Or pay a bit more for the newer slim 7i aura edition instead?
I'm a bit confused by the new models seem to be Microsoft ai focused
lol it’s all software don’t get tricked into all the ai labeling
Some okay AI features like AI chat support and direct wireless file/photo sharing for non tech users. Not much impressed yet until they add some useful software.
And not pen compatible.
I have the 2 in 1 7i Gen 9. Very hot. The single fan seems incapable of adequately cooling the device. On a mildly warm day it has constant fan noise and thermal throttling (if ambient is 30⁰ expect throttling 90% of the time - literally as measured by HWInfo). I have the 120Hz OLED and it is a beautiful screen, but the battery life is terrible. 4-6 hours of light use. Gains 1-3 hours more if you switch the screen down to 60Hz but there's no adaptive refresh - only manual switching. Raised this all with Lenovo. Immediately told me it was performing withing parameters. Quoted as 11 hours Passmark and 19 hours video. Wouldn't send anyone to inspect it. Seems a common problem. Told me to raise it with their consumer law team if I believe it's a breach of consumer law. It's a shame. I think if it had dual blowers like almost every similar Lenovo laptop it might be a really good device. It's very attractive, light and nice screen. But it's a bit of a dud. 9i has dual blowers. As do the X series. Not sure they fixed it in the 7i Gen 10 either. I think I bought it at 38% off. Even so, feels like I didn't get a great deal. Puts it in MacBook Air class really given the cooling stinks (except with a noisy-ish fan).
(Gen 10 does gain adaptive refresh but the 31 hour battery figure seems ludicrous)
For graphics, 3050 is almost 50% faster than 155H Arc.
Does anyone know what the delivery time is? I can't seem to find info.
I got this deal - it already expired even tho Autumn deals are still on. Looks like potentially a mistake?
They send me a message and told me the delivery will be end of april (16th) and if I want to cancel I can….
That gpu is unnecessary as new 395 integrated graphics is better and more power efficiency.
