  • I bought these last time they were on special for $75
They sound really good and love them. However , when my friend was over the other day, he tried them and said they didn't sound the best.

    • you may need an amp, if your friend was correct.

  • I got this set from the pre-christmas deal (I think it was about $87 delivered?) and it's a fairly good catch for the price…

Allow me to share my experience, While the sound quality is good and the isolation is decent (not as much isolation as my Audio Technica) it gets too uncomfortable on long listening sessions that i keep adjusting it around my head and i just give up in the end and drop it…now it's just lying on the desk in shiny red colour :(

    • do you feel that they put a bit of strain on your neck when you have them on for a long time

    • Keep in mind the headband is fairly pliable… I got sore ears for a couple weeks when I first got them before realising that a looser fit can be achieved by bending the headband back ever so slightly, and this fixed the problem for me.

  • +1

Bassy headphones, similar to Beats but better and sturdier constructed, getting tired after long wearing. If ur considering to buy Beats, buy this pair now:-)

  • hmm, should I buy them now at $100 or wait till they hit $75, anyone got the LP2? much difference?

  • Hmm, I was actually thinking of picking up a pair of M100 on Amazon for $300. Im no audiophile, just need a pair of headphones for everyday listening on public transport/Uni. Will also be my fist time buying headphones, should I just get a pair of these and wait for some real Ozbargain deals on better more expensive, high quality audiophile headphones? I probably wont even notice the difference to be honest. Hmm, decision, decisions…

These come with plenty of accessories too, I like their hard cases.

    • +2

if your not in a rush, these usually come down to <$90 very often

They even fluctuate in price on a daily basis, set your camel X 3 to monitor

      • Oh ok, I really like the red ones too but this one looks good too.
Looking at the Ozbargain history these were going for $86 cheapest back in November, wonder when they'll go at that price again.

        • thats when i got them
They went down to $75 again in december
A week ago they went down to $89
SO if you really want them, set up camel X 3 price tracker

      • camelcamelcamel set, but kinda tempted to get them now

        • Same here, at this price its cheap already.
If this was for all colour I'd probably get them now to be honest.
So they all ship to Aus except for the white ones right?

        • What music do you listen to? These are an unbalanced set, I got them in November and love them but that's because I listen to mainly electronic, r&b, hip-hop etc. Also, what are you going to listen to them with? The drivers are kinda efficient but I found that my laptop and tablet powered them far better than the iPod nano I tried using them with. Using the nano, not all the frequencies came through as controlled as usual or much quieter.

Price is no question, I'd have paid far more than the ~$85 I did. The build quality, cables, and general look and feel are excellent. Far better than Beats, but again, Beats is what you should be comparing them to because they have a similar balance.

Should add that in-line headphone amps could be an option. Something like a Fiio E7 for ~$25 would power it very nicely.

        • Pretty much the same genres as you listed, most modern day music. I dont listen to the classical genres like jazz, I also dont listen to rock bar 1 or 2 songs. I do listen to Taylor Swift and anyone with a similar voice. I will be using it as a portable plugged into my Iphone, Im just a casual listener. No I dont have an amp, so would you say this suits my tastes? Im coming from Iphone headphones that came with the phone so I think this will definitely be better.

        • They'll be leaps and bounds ahead of any sound that stock apple earbuds can produce, with or without an amp (iPhone should power them better than an old nano). If you want some nice headphones, these sound like a good buy for you.

        • I was going to wait but i might just buy it now. Who knows when it will drop down to $75 again.

        • Yerh same here, how long is shipping from Amazon usually?

        • They were $249 on release, and they perform like headphones in that price range. So it's definitely a good buy at either price. The $75 special was on Black Friday thru Cyber Monday only, so like you said, who knows when they'll go back down.

        • I'm not sure about usually, but I ordered Nov 29 and received Dec 8

        • they did go down again to $75 around 20th december

  • bit the bullet and purchased them in the colour I wanted. $110

hope they're as good as people say

    • Which colour did you get?

      • went the gun metal grey in the end :)

        • Yerh Im kinda in crossroads atm deciding between the Phantom Chrome and the Gunmetal Black.
The pictures dont do the gunmetal colour any justice, on Youtube it looks so much nicer compared to the pictures.

        • i know what you mean. I think I made the right choice. I could wait but it could be months. and life isnt worth waiting over $20 or so…

          oh wait… i live on Ozbargain :O
