It says "Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship the item."

I do not know if they will ship to Australia but it accepts my order. Good price considering it is not much more than the price of the lens itself. Now I just have to wait.

    Look at one of the boxes on the right hand side of the page titled "More Buying Choices" — the stock sold by Amazon.com is $316.95.

    Adorama via Amazon which is in stock sells for $416.
    Amazon direct which is out of stock sells for $316.

    I was able to get to the last step of checkout so they do send this to Australia. The question is when will they have more stock. Good deal although you may be waiting possibly weeks (or hours).

  Excellent deal. Very good camera if you're with Pentax (OR want to be with them).
  It looks weired but it performs very well.
  Good sensor, good video with full manual controls (if you need ones), good body capable of carrying big lenses, high resolution bright LCD, big battery which won't drain even if you use camera all day long, it even has TAv mode (hidden in M mode with ISO set to Auto).
  It has a peaking focus which can be assigned to a red or green button. Red button is a dedicated record button as well.
  When used with a pancake lens it is reasonably small.
  IQ is superpurb (when used with a good lens).

  On a dark side : design is a bit weird, body is not weather sealed (for that price no other brand has it weather sealed anyway), no OVF (not a problem for me but some very very old school photographers do complain).

  PS The only disadvantage I can see is that it is yellow. Some people like yellow ones but I think black or black-and-white ones look better. imho.

  Looks like a decent deal, but says no good for action / photos of kids, which is exactly what need it for… (the latter)

      It is the first time I hear about this.
      They have a few lenses that are prone to malfunctioning due to engineering solutions used but most of their equipment is as reliable as Canon/Nikon/Sony/Olympus one.

  please note that the lens that comes with the K01 as kit is the DA40XS not the DA40 limited.

    DA40 itself is $500 on b&h, so it is quite obvious that it has a DA40XS, otherwise you can just make profit buying this camera ;-)

      DA40 is said to have better CA and MTF.
      Personally I would get DA40 rather than DA40XS if I had a choice.
      Although DA40XS itself is a very good lens (taking into account that it is a pancake one).

    The k-r is a matured SLR product but the K-01 is a new concept. K-01 has newer and better sensor etc. The main thing is that the k-r comes with a cheap zoom which can be bought less than $100 new. The K-01 comes with an over $200 dollars lens. It's like buying the lens with the camera thrown in. I'll take the K-01 deal any day.
