Cheapest Parking near Airport (Sydney)

I am looking for a cheaper parking to park and fly near the airport.

I looked up Blu emu but it only provides transfers to domestic airport.

Any other options?

Thanks

Do we assume there's just 1 airport in Aus?

    • +1

No, but looking at their profile we can see their location is "Sydney", and that Blu Emu is a Sydney Airport parking service, we can extrapolate that they probably did, in fact, mean Sydney.

We shouldn't have to dig for this information.

      yes

    • My bad buddy.. its sydney airport

    www.parking_meekatharra_airport.com.au

Another Sydney resident who assumes either the world rotates around Sydney or 'of course I meant Sydney, where else would I be talking about?' FFS.

Other cities pale when compared to Sydney

      • +2

        Quite literally

    • Obviously OP would be talking about bumfark WA. Obviously. /s

I'd be guessing Sydney, Melbourne, Tell-a-budgerigar, Brisbane, Adelaide… hell I'd even be guessing Perth or Hobart before Meeka-bloody-tharra.

But we don't need to guess because we could just ask instead of being snarky Meekatharras.

Just get an OzBargainer who lives near the airport to put some traffic cones outside their house to reserve you a parking spot.

If you don't mind the inconvenience of double hopping, there's the T-Bus at the airport which loops around T1, T2, and T3, so if you're headed internationally, you can Blue Emu → domestic, then T-Bus to the international terminal. While it claims it travels every 15 minutes, add in a little extra time in case of delays

Space Shuttle Airport Parking in Sydney. Includes shuttle bus.

  • -1

Blu Emu is pretty much the cheapest. Sydney Airport parking did have a 25% off deal however that just finished 2 days ago. Jump on the bus to Domestic then take the other free bus to International. I do this all the time with no issues.

  • -1

There are bike racks adjacent to T1

      accessdenied!

catch the train to mascot and walk

    • -1

Take the bus after train is $2 less, why not.

      • -2

You know their are train stations at both the domestic and international airports?

        • But that isn't the cheapest option once you pay the Sydney airport station access fee.

        • +4

Getting off or on those airport train stations will attract $17+ airport fees per person. Thus why the 'public transport acrobatics' according to Building Beautifully

  • I looked up Blu emu but it only provides transfers to domestic airport

You can also get the free bus between domestic and international, it just takes longer but worth it imo.

IKEA Tempe and get a taxi/uber to the airport.

park at arncliffe station and walk

  • Park & Fly always

    • any promo code for Park & Fly?

Is it a two million dollar Bugatti? I heard a tip on TikTok where you get a bank to loan you $10,000 and you use your luxury car as collateral, so the bank keeps it in their secure car storage near the airport, and when you get back you repay the loan with the few dollars interest the month accrued and when the banker asks you why you did all this you say to him smugly "do you know where else I can store my car near the airport for $2.30".

    • +3

I didn't know tiktok was around when I first heard that joke like 50 years ago

    • Were Bugatti even making a car worthy of that (or at least one that warranted being used as collatoral) when that joke first came out?

      • +1

The original version was probably about stabling a prize stallion.

        • it would not surprise me lol

  • Any promo codes for sydney airport parking?

    • The linkt app currently has a 15% off code under rewards

  • Blu Emu, transfer to domestic, take the (free) international terminal bus or the train ($$$).

Use the SYD Parking discount codes when they come up. When I went away for a month it was only $7 more expensive to park than it would be for a booked taxi door to door return.

You never mentioned how many days and how many passengers. Check how much a Taxi or Uber costs, sometimes they are cheaper than parking.

Just don't dump questions to the forum to work for you. You are computer literate and would be good if you do a google search and made the decision.

Dunno about cheapest, but have used https://www.parkonking.com.au/ with no issues with wife and two kids.

    They have regular sales

    • They let you park the wife and two kids there? How long did you leave them for? XD

    park in no stopping zone
    double blinkers on
    open bonet to engine
    grab some fake legs
place under the car sticking out
    off on ur holiday!

saw someone do it…. in a movie
    should work

  • we used https://spaceshuttleparking.com.au/ last time - they provide shuttle bus services and we had no issues with being picked up or dropepd off.

  • I also used Space Shuttle Parking as well. Good rates and decent shuttle services.

Park on King always have good sales as well, and bigger car park than Space Shuttle. I think Space Shuttle has better cancellation conditions than Park on King.

But best is to book Sydney Airport Parking when there is a sale on (say 25% off a week ago). I just re-booked P7 International Parking at SYD for not much more than the parking at Space Shuttle parking. I don't have to wait for shuttle when I came back to Sydney.

    1. drop your passengers and all their bags (including yours) to the airport
    2. find a free unlimited street parking spot which is also near the 420 bus stops, and park there. then you ride the 420 bus to the airport.
    3. depends on your car - you can leave there for 2-3 weeks and no body (even you) will care. (another benefit of having a beater car)

      ride the 420

      Blaze it, brother

Cheapest car park is at your home. There are plenty of shuttle bus services that act like taxis, that will take u to t(e airport wi the hassle of parking etc. I never understood why people would chose to park at the airport when; they travel, it’s not worth the expense

    • Can be sometimes! Heh.

I've got a work trip to Melbourne but the flight is like 6am so I'll drive in park there and leave the car a couple days. It's on company dime and is ultimately more convenient/faster and I'm not relying on the lately unreliable train system!

  • For pickups I park at Tempe recreational reserve and walk across the footbridge. Completely free. Im actually going there on Sunday.

    • Express pickup (I know the international one, not familiar with domestic one), allows you to park for 15 minutes free. Those you pickup needs to be there first as there is not much time.

      • Yeah thats why I dont like using it, basically if the person you are picking up gets stuck in customs or cant find the pickup area you get slugged. Id rather walk 10 mins and not have to worry about anything personally.

        • Yeah but you're picking up people… Do you (or more importantly your pickup guests) really want to walk 10minutes, dragging luggage after a long flight?

  • Honestly OP, Didi is your best bet.
I live out West in Blacktown and right now a Didi quote is 62.43 under their Travel Option.
I am doing an international trip in a month and this is exactly how I'll be travelling.

    • would be cautious of Didi.. the fare changes so much as you begin your trip, depending on where the driver goes with Tolls etc. Some drivers just drive wherever but riders need to foot the bill.

      • Interesting - has never happened to me.
In fact though - this happens on Uber way more where the app ends up double tolling and I can't fight it.
