    This looks like an absolutely horrible design for a headlamp. Might be okay for $20 for the rest of the uses it claims.

    I recently rediscovered my headlamp and how handy it can be.

    E.g.
    Had a DIY project outside to do by a deadline and weekends weren't getting it done quick enough, so the headlamp allowed me to work evenings after work with ease as everything you look at is illuminated hands-free and overcoming the shadows broader outside lights caused.

    Then we had Cyclone Alfred long power outage - so here I was walking around the house with the headlamp on, it even got to go outside in 95km/hr+ wind gusts and horizontal rain when I went to save a window that had something blow up against it and bash on the glass in the night. Mostly good except when other people are accustomed to the dark and you look straight at them (bright for them, but I turned it's brightness all the way down after the first incident).

    Most recently, working under the bonnet of my car, it helped to see down between components that cast shadows despite being in a lit room without even having to move my magnetic lamp.

    Looking to get a spare for the family to use.
    However, mine is a slimline design about 1/3 of the thickness of this one off the forehead. Does anyone have any experience with the practicalities of this one?
