Sofa Bed Recommendation?

We want to get a sofa bed for the visiting mother-in-law but our usual brand, Koala, won’t deliver where we live (semi-rural Victoria).

Can anyone recommend a particular brand or shop? We’re hoping for something better than IKEA.

Eva Slideaway sounds like a really dodgy stripper name.

Dont know the current pricing but had a Freedom one for years (now woth the grandparents) and the thing was awesome. Spring mattress, easily took the weight of two fatties and the mechanism was easy to manage.

Sure the modern ones are easier to deal with.

You can try a Wattle modular sofa, but they are $$$

Just get an ikea hemnes day bed and a good mattress

We have one of these and put a futon mattress on as a topper. We don’t bother putting down the base so we get a three person chaise longue and the futon sits up nicely for a L shaped comfy cushion effect. Great for us and the cats.

    • I did something similar for guests.

That exact sofa bed + soft 100% latex queen sized mattress topper. This setup gets many compliments.

      • On its own it is too firm but with a topper it is a good setup. We’ve slept on ours and it is quite comfy. No mechanism to dig into you and very easy to convert.

  • Thanks for all the suggestions everybody.

I've got a Balder model I got as demo stock

  • Just go to IKEA, the quality there is good enough
