I'm thinking about getting a mini projector, mainly for camping and outdoor use.

Whenever I go camping with family or friends, we usually just chat or have a BBQ at night, but it feels like something is missing. With a projector, we could watch movies outside the tent or in the car, which would be much more enjoyable than staring at a phone or tablet.

This one is compact and portable, easy to carry in a bag, and supports WiFi screen mirroring, so I can stream from my phone without extra cables. Now it’s 50% off, so it seems like a good deal—might give it a try.

640x360, it'll be like viewing a movie through a potato lens

Might be ok for the Minecraft movie though…

Might be the only thing to make Jack Black even slightly resemble Steve.

An apple smart watch is 416 by 496 pixels.
      So this is comparable

        Physical resolution: 480*360

        Even worse.

        • And the imaging technology

          Imaging technology: TET LCD

Good old TET, can't beat it!

maybe that was because they were read using this as the display method?

  • Get a decent budget projector from aliexpress

    • Looks fine, but not exactly portable. Haven't looked into specs but I wonder if this projector could run on 'Ryobi 18V ONE+ 150W Battery Topper Inverter' with a large battery connected.

  • What would you protect it onto?

    • +1

      Side of the tent

    • Projecting onto a potato would give best image quality.

    Ewaste

Each to their own but try to appreciate the time away from electronics. Love me a few days without screens.

Yep, my fav campsites have zero mobile service. Great for improving communication skills 😆

This one is pretty good, but it's about $128

  • Good for 8bit gaming

Sadly even a PAL TV was 720 x 576 (vertically interlaced) and probably still looked better than this thing ever will.

  • NES and Sega master system!

  • Get one with digital focus and true colour reproduction, this will go in the bin after a few goes

    • What would be your recommendation, say under $200?

    I read it Bargainpoop
