Kiryu's back, but he's not the Dragon of Dojima anymore! In "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name," you'll step into the shoes of Kiryu Kazuma, now operating under the codename "Joryu," as he's pulled back into the underworld's tangled web. This isn't your typical Yakuza brawler; expect a mix of classic beat-'em-up action with the new "Agent" fighting style, letting you use gadgets and swift maneuvers to take down foes.

Dive into a gripping narrative that bridges the gap between "Yakuza: Like a Dragon" and the upcoming "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth." Explore Sotenbori and a mysterious castle-like area, engage in wild side quests, and experience the signature over-the-top action the series is known for.

Purchased, thanks legend! Been following this since release and never seen a physical copy under ~$70AUD

  • A bit OT, but doesn't anyone have a sense of whether the Japanese domestic videogame market has embraced digital the way we seem to have in the West? Just curious really, wondering if maybe they've hung onto physical media more than the Anglosphere I get all my media content from, where it seems like digital is now the norm and physical a bit of an outlier

Japanese love collecting so physical media will be here for a long time. It will survive much longer than in the West.

Should I buy this to collect for value later? I have a full room of LEGOs and amiibos.

        • +1

No. There'll be loads of copies of this available

I'm nearly finished. It's worth getting the disc because it's not physically getting released here at all unless some miracle. I imported the disc previously and this is a great price. Not sure if I should go pirate Yakuza or start infinite wealth after this..

    • I haven't played either, but apparently Pirate Yakuza spoils Infinite Wealth so go for IW first.

      • +3

Before you play any, make sure you watch the Majima Saejima watermelon scene again

  • Kiryu has never killed anyone

    • Have you never played Yakuza 0? He goes ham with a handgun during a chase sequence.

      • +1

        But no one died.

Those were rubber bullets. And a rubber missile

  • Great game! Wanted the English cover so I imported it from Singapore.
