Anyone know how much mobile battery is used, heard some chatter about it.
Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapters plug into a USB port in a car, so are powered by the car electrical system.
The only power draw on a mobile phone using one of these is from it using Bluetooth or wireless to connect to it. It is a wireless bridge that replaces the USB cable that would normally be used to connect to a car head unit.
He's probably referring to the excessive phone battery drain mentioned a lot in the other posts.
If only there was a way of charging your phone whilst driving…
@Tiggrrrrr: Which defeats the purpose of wireless carplay. The "chatter" before was about significant battery drain with some of them.

the usb plug too long, someone gonna accidently hit the plug sooner or later.
