  Yes, they are, but you won't have to replace it. I have taken my first Samsonite bag on over 50-60 plane trips and still going. Only replaced it for a bigger one, also Samsonite.

      I bought a Samsonite umbrella recently, thinking it would be sturdy. Was a bit disappointed to find it was rather flimsy. Even more disappointed when a rib snapped the first time I used it.

        @pitufon: LOL ever since my 159-dollar Blunt umbrella broke after its very first windy day and tried to get it replaced but got denied, I've since been on a crusade speaking out against Blunt whenever it is mentioned. So, no.
