I find the bluetooth ones too heavy and fall when walking or training no matter what earbud i use. Also i love to listen to audiobooks going to sleep and partner hates noise so wired headphones are much better. Also at work when listening to background noise of podcasts etc just one light wired earpiece in my ear is the best and people can see them - some people wear the big can headphones which dont look good in the work environment or people wear bluetooth and if you have long hair people start talking to you not knowing you have them in.
Yes thank you for that pertinent observation.
Cheap as! I’ve got S12 Pro myself but I believe the standard S12 is still really good especially at this price point.
How does this compare to other IEMs?
( State the brand/model of the comparison )
Feels like you’re putting me on the spot lol.
I’ve only got 2 (main) IEMs now, S12 Pro and Qkz x HBB.
Basically for serious and critical listening I’d use the S12, really clear, sharp treble, decent vocal, plenty bass without being too bassy. Great neutral-bright V-shaped tuning in my experience. Also works so well with PEQ on my Qudelix.
Qkz x HBB on the other hand, just fun bassy, easy listening pair. Borderline loose bass, thick mid, soft treble, funnily enough works really well with jazz. I use this for when idc what I listen to, including Twitch stream, playing games, cooking video, etc.
Still prefer my full sized headphones when I have time to actually sit down and listen, otherwise these IEMs basically live on my bedside table.

That won't be the end of it all, haha
I started with a cheap $50 CCA earphone, and within 3-4 years, have gone into thousand-dollar territory for IEMs, headphones … and tried a few DACs here and there.
I was curious what the S12 compared to, so that is why I asked.
( I was hoping for comparisons to Moondrop / ThieAudio / Sennheiser / 64 Audio IEMs, as I'm more familiar with them )
Great neutral-bright V-shaped tuning in my experience
That alone puts me off the S12.
I like more flat, neutral tuning.
Even when people recommended the Moondrop Variations to me, I listened to it and found it "too V-shaped" for my liking.
@whyisave: Not sure if my life story here helps, but I had a quick visit to e-earphones (actually spent half a day there, that place is nuts), I compared (take it with grain of salt) S12 Pro, Moondrop Blessing 2 & 3 & Kato, Truthear Hexa, MEST Mk 2, U4s, U12t, IE600, IE900. Trying them all was the goal that day.
Long story short, I ended up lumping the Sennheisers, Moondrops, and Hexa and U4s together since they can sound flat and neutral akin to my old HD800. Not a fan but I can appreciate how natural and relaxed they sound.
S12 Pro sounds more similar to MEST with their higher energy and sharper sound. Reminds me of my Clear OG. I tend to gravitate towards these.
The main difference between cheaper ones vs kilobuck ones from that quick dirty comparison, is how AIRY and spacious the exxy ones felt (e.g. jumping from S12 Pro to MEST or from Hexa to U4s), massive difference there. Almost felt like I was listening to full sized cans rather than IEMs.
So no, I don’t think you’ll enjoy the S12 Pro.
@piupiupiu: Thanks for this write-up, because I own(ed):
7Hz Timeless, Moondrop Blessing 2, U4S, IE600, etc.I've also tried the Blessing 3, Hexa, MEST MK2, U12T, IE900 …, so I know what you compared the sound profiles to.
I also like the HD800 too, for its airy, neutral profile, but it was a brief listen only.
I've also had the Clear OG too, but just thought it was "too neutral" for my liking.
I listen to the U4S from time-to-time, but also listen on some cheaper IEMs or expensive ones, depending on what DAC is available.
Still, I cycle through the audio gear every now & then, so I would have tried the S12, and using this OzB as a 'review platform', haha….but not if it's got a "V-shape".
( Recently, got the Moondrop LAN and liking that for its price/performance ).
@whyisave: I feel that Clear OG is heaps livelier than the flat HD800 hence why I got rid of the HD800. But I guess personal preference hey.
I actually closely A-B tested Timeless vs S12 Pro, sounds pretty close but ultimately S12 pro has more sparkle in the treble and deeper bass, hence closer to V Shape, but Timeless won in terms of how “spacious” it feels. Can’t deal with the weight and fit though, big chonky boi that one. That was tested using same tips (Moondrop Spring), and same DAC (Qudelix 5K). i would personally keep the Timeless if it fits you better, not worth sidegrading I don’t think.
Great (profanity) headphones, although the default cable is maybe a lil short for desk use
Thank you - Been looking for some decent IEMs.
Reviews seem good. Hope they match my recently acquired Fiio JM21
Is this one also 2024 version?
Very interested in opinions by other people who also have timelessPlease, no more IEMs! My wallet just can't handle it anymore!!!
your credit card can.
showing $149.25 for me
Hi @BallR, it looks like that 25% off box is no longer available. Or am I doing something wrong? Ta.
Looks like the 25% off box has now gone
Got the S12PRO a few weeks ago ($16) and they're awesome (using them as IEMs for live music playing guitar) and the build quality is great. Reviews seemed to indicate these weren't massively different.
Where did you get them that cheap?
I hope that was a typo, otherwise crazy cheap price and I envy you 🤣
