Spotlight Catalogue Discounts

Looking for some help here in understanding Spotlight discounts.

I was looking for some curtain rods and curtains and i liked Spotlight collection.( Caprice). Looks good and at decent price. I was looking for double rods with extension and they have good collection. I shortlisted some products from their website and about to visit store, but just realised their price increased almost 50%.

Apparently they were catalogue items and were on sale. My question is can we expect this kind of sales on curtain rods regularly or i missed it forever. Didn't have any experience with spotlight discounts and just curious how spotlight discount releases works.

Thanks.

You should get a welcome discount voucher and any click and collect order will get you a $5 discount voucher that you can use in store (one voucher per in store transaction).

Curtains are on sale most of the time at Spotlight. Hang tight and they will be on sale again very soon.

  • Spotlight are one of those stores that have a sale on 99% of the time but also have higher prices than other stores.

Spotlight's sales are slimy. They have sales on a lot of the time, with varying discount levels. Late last year they had a decent sale .. I think it was during Black Friday. Then immediately after this they had a "50% off" sale, and this 50% off was a lesser discount than the Black Friday sale prices. One thing is for sure, never buy when there isn't a "sale" unless you can't wait.
Yes, get the VIP membership. You also get a $5 voucher for the next purchase if you do click and collect. I usually don't bother though, because you have to wait around for someone in the particular department to be free to get your click and collect order, and they usually put minimal staff on (at least at my local store). Quicker just to get the item off the shelf yourself and pay at counter.
