Rebought?
Perhaps he means on different platforms.
Oh! You mean replatformed.
Take-Two/Rockstar is pleased with you. This is why they delay their PC releases, to get people to double-dip
According to steamdb this is the lowest recorded price however it's not the first time it's been this low.
First time was a little over a week ago, 13-20th March.
That's a little over two weeks ago.
*Lowest price in AUD to be technically correct. It had 80% discount in other currencies
Think this is my favourite games of all time. It’s not for everybody, but at this I suggest giving it a shot.
Same. But there is so much stuff to get side tracked on that at this price it's great value.
It's not a "game", you won't be shooting around doing GTA stuff in the wild west.
It's a 1800s life simulator without the controversial stuff like prostitution, nudity, slavery or racism.
Life back then was slow and difficult… Going hunting, collecting plants, making arrows, pitching up a tent, reading (there's so much sh it to read if you want), talking to people etc. This game slows down real time. Its escapism.
It may or may not be for you. I thought I'd try it out seeing the rave reviews everywhere, but really was disappointed as it was too slow, didn't see the fun in it. Definitely not a game in the traditional sense.
This is also one of my favourite games of all time. And it is indeed a "game" with shooting around and doing GTA stuff in the wild west. It's tempo varies much more of course, and it is all the better for it.
This is exactly what's put me off buying it after all this time. I wish they'd release a demo or trial version just so I can satisfy my curiosity.
That's basically what the steam refund policy is for - you get 2 hours to trial.
"the purchase must be within 14 days, and the game or software must have less than two hours of playtime"
Alternatively, if you're open to it, you can also pirate it to try it out, then purchase if satisfied. I'm pretty sure you can also transfer save files from pirated -> steam so you don't lose any progress but it's a little difficult.
@Undercut 2241: The first 2 hours is basically tutorial. It takes a while to get into the world and all the different things to do.
The 30 second memory tiktok generation wouldnt even be able to get past the snow intro
Does base game include the 'special edition' bonus'? The ultimate talks about coming with them but nothing in the base description does, and there's no option to purchase a special edition.
For what it's worth, Rockstar games don't allow family sharing. Was tempted to buy this to contribute to the library but opted out because of this.
Found this out the hard way with rdr1
Just a warning to all - Rockstar have introduced two-step verification to rockstar accounts, so when you try to play the game, whatever rockstar account you initially linked through Steam requires email verification. If you've lost access to your original rockstar email address/login, you can't play any Rockstar games you've previously bought.
Lots of recent negative reviews from people complaining about this
Not a fan of this game, found it be drawn out and boring but respect some ppl like it
Yeah not for everyone I guess. I loved the story and the game as a whole. Spent so much time hunting to upgrade my satchel.
$22.48 on PS4/PS5 until the 10th as well. Just be aware that Rockstar hasn’t updated it for 60 fps so it’s locked at 30 fps still.
Coz I don't like this genre of game? Is that ok?
Because all my game time is spent on Cities Skylines?
Because they have Gran Turismo 7, which invalidates all other games forever.
Why should I buy a game that I have no interest in ?
I have RDR2 which I've not play yet :(. Is it worth spending the $30 for Ultimate Edition?
the ultimate edition costs $8 more for $50 more value $150 reduced to $30 i think its worth it if you dont already have rdr2 but im not sure if its worth it if you already do have it and for some reason there doesnt seem to be an ultimate edition upgrade
Apparently this youtube video told me everything I needed to know

Hey Mister !!
I completed the first Red Dead Resemption back in the day on the Xbox 360 and really enjoyed it but haven’t ever bought the sequel. Is it similar?
I’ve now got a PS5 and Steam Deck OLED, which platform should I get it on? I can see that the PS5 will basically still be locked at 30fps and the Steam Deck does quite well on this and with the length of the game I’d probably get more playtime on the the bus to and from work than in front of the TV because Inhave young kids but wanted to check there’s no major disadvantages with controls or performance on the deck.
For $20 you won't regret it. It's like a culmination of all the Rockstar game mechanics and features put into one.
And hey, you finish this and you'll be right on time to get GTA6
If you really enjoyed the original then this is a no brainer because the sequel is fantastic. Huge improvement to the graphics. The story is great. I haven’t played on the deck, so can’t help you there.
The visual / graphics is at a different level. It extends several aspects of RDR1 (more side quests, hunting, herbs / plants gathering, food, horses, clothing, honour and grooming etc…). It does make the game more complicated and can at times feel a bit annoying. It's much easier to bump into someone and lowers your honour level. RDR1 is more fun to play for me because there's less distractions but RDR2 is more entertaining (if you reach at least chapter 6). Fast travel in RDR1 is simpler and more flexible. RDR2's fast travel is a bit annoying.
Story is good but it does have pacing issue. As for which version to get, I am not sure this is a game you want to play while on public transport. Controls, RDR2 is more nuanced.
It is the all time low price, but it's not the first time on this price. There were twice before.
Was a slow start for me, played a chapter or two then left it for half a year. Then picked it back up recently and now at more than 100 hours.
People actually spend the most time on Chapter 2. I may have played 100ish hours myself on it before moving on
@gavin
One of the best storylines I have ever seen in a game and shts all over anything that Hollywood writes/makes these days. I'm not a Western Cowboy genre fan, but my god this story is moving and worth the playthrough even if you don't like Cowboy stuff.
I'm not a frequent gamer, and RDR2 is the first game I've completed in a long time. It was so good that I can't enjoy other games anymore,I keep comparing everything to RDR2. The same thing happened with Ghost of Tsushima. I started it right after finishing RDR2, but I stopped playing after just 30 minutes.
Boiii
I’ve lost track of how many times I have rebought this game. Once more won’t hurt. Solid way to kill time on the train.
