CD Clearanace @ David Jones - Lots of Titles $4.95 (Chermside, Maybe Other Stores?)

100

After their 50% off CD/DVD for Boxing day, their next step in clearing everything out is about 1/2 their range of CDs for $4.95. Was at Chermside but might be at others? Not as good as yesterday's Myer sale (which I missed!) but some good titles included if you're into music including some very new releases. There doesn't seem to be a logical reason as to what has and hasn't been marked down. I got Angus & Julia Stone, Jamiroquai, Missy Higgins and a few others. They are clearing their DVDs and Blu-Rays as well, but the prices are still about $10-15 which isn't really a bargain in my books. No doubt they'll keep dropping until they are gone as the counter dude said they are expecting to have all their stock gone by the end of the month (they are closing their CD/DVD section like Myer). Also saw some demo model iPads for $350-450 if you're looking for something without a warranty and a couple of Macbook Pros as well, but didn't catch the prices.

  • With many Sanitys closing, Myer and David Jones leaving the blu ray selling business, Ezy DVD closing there is almost nowhere selling blurays in a shop.

Target and Kmart have a hopeless selection and still have too much space on DVD's. Big W has quite a few more Blu rays but the prices are sometimes ridiculous. JB hifi has quite a lot of blurays but price and stock is not always good.

I got most of my harder to find blurays from myer (less so David Jones). I get some from the Internet too.

Just get them from Amazon UK, they are usually pretty good with prices. And are the same region as us for Blu rays.

I went yesterday and got a few Triple J albums.

  • I saw it today but they said from $4.95 and DVD from $9.95.

    • Yeah but about 95% of cds were $4.95. Including a 7 album pink boxset (none left at chatswood now)
