    Was this a good deal?

    I got one :D

I hadn't noticed this model before, but the "constant 100w low-power heating" caught my attention, and a quick reading of some reviews confirm it works this way, so I grabbed one.

    • Yeah I ended up grabbing one too for the exact same reason haha.

    • Hah. Are you wanting yourself some nice hotpot action in time for winter? :)

      • +2

Getting a slow cooker has been great during the winter. Chuck stuff in before work, come home to a cooked dinner in the evening.

Feed at your place. Send location.

Had this on my watch list for a while for that reason. Looks like one of the few that do it "properly", although I still might pass in the end because the coil is a bit smaller than what I'd like (~154mm).

Have this model and works well at low power, can dial in verry specif increases or decreases.

I got this to use on 12 V lithium batteries with inverter and/or power station as this is much

more gentle on electronics rather than cycling high and off as well as much better controlled cooking.

Got one for my Bluetti EB70 (1000w) hoping this. Unfortunately it still overloads even at the lowest setting.

It's a good justification to get a new more powerful powerstation…

Wow, that is really disappointing. Have not tested it on an R600 power station yet (600W max) but was hoping it would work on low settings.
Works fine on the 2000W version though.
So even on really low settings the 1000W was not enough, as it should work well below 500W I thought?

          • @ozhunter68: I thought as much also, it has a reputation as being ideal for such uses. Looks like it must let it rip at the beginning, then drop down to the settings. It always triggered overload soon after starting.
I might go and try it on my 1000w Honda generator, forgot to try that yet.

      • I have this model too. It is great at doing a constant low temperature (compared to cheaper ones) but does anyone else find it sometimes makes a high pitched shuddery squeeling noise??

Not sure if its a "feature" or a fault. It doesn't always occur, but is much more likely and more loud with some pots than others.

        • +1

Have not used mine much to notice, but from what I read this is pretty common with most induction cooking.

  • Looks like the $40 off coupon is back for a bit.

Edit: Amazon kept the $40 off coupon but just now Jacked the price to $219, so now $179

  • There's still the 9 setting version for $110

But you are missing out on the other 90 settings.
