Automated Responses: Missing Cashback Claims

TL;DR: Anyone know how to get through the automated responses when you raise a Missing Cashback Claim?

The customer service section clearly states you use the Missing Cashback Claim if you have the following issues

Lodge a claim, if your cashback
- isn’t showing on your account after 7 days
- has been ‘declined’
- shows at a different amount.

I made an Amazon purchase of 3 items.

  1. One item for $29 (26.36 excluding GST) from the "Camera & Photo" category, which at the time of purchase TopCashback offered a rate of 4% for that category. The cashback for this item should be $1.05, but I only received $0.13.

  2. Two of the same items for $20.89 each / $41.78 total (37.98 total excluding GST). The item was listed in the "Computers" category, which at the time of purchase TopCashback offered a rate of 0.5% for the "All Other Purchases…" category. The cashback for this item should be $0.19, but the cashback was declined.

I told them in the message section the full information of the transaction, including the above breakdown. It takes about 10 days but they eventually send the usual automated response “The following cashback insertion has been allocated…..” repeating the same incorrect amount for item 1, and disregarding the declined cashback for item 2.

I keep responding, they keep sending automated responses. How do I cut through to a human?

  • Amazon is useless for cashback

    All cashback providers are litterally Sh*t when it comes to amazon including Shopback, Topcashback and cashrewards.

    FYI I still have $8.7 ish pending on topcashback from amazon since 2023. Yeah can you believe that ? I honestly dont even know what i bought that time 2 years ago, and from which amazon account etc. etc. too

    Amazon cashback is never paid its almost a dodgy tactic showing amazon by them all tbh. I never trust 1 single thing they say of amazon.

    • I honestly rarely have a problem with Amazon cashback. Once I learnt the 45 different loop holes you have to jump through, I got to navigating it effectively 99% of the time.

        Apparently they just now said to me they forgot to decline it earlier, like what? After 2 years ?

        And me honestly after 2 year don't have a clue what I bought or with what account to even confirm that it was refunded or cancelled or something, and too like returned within their time frame.

        I never trust a single cashback provider for now and future when it comes to Amazon.

          Ye I try not to buy anything based on the cashback alone but the declines just nag at me when something like this happens - like how can 1 transaction be approved but the other items in the same transaction get declined. But I have to say, TCB is the most reliable for Amazon Cashback for me. This is the first time I had an issue and in my case, the first item I listed I attributed to the wrong category. I’m still unclear on the second item issues but TCB have made good anyway :)

  • UPDATE: got some answers! Item 1 was different category. item 2, I’m still unclear on.
    But they have made good on both anyway.
