  • it's $7.02 to be clear :P

  • Well yeah, It is the closest we could get to $7 using the store discount system!

  • It seems cheap and my wife complained about only having one cable just to this evening.
    So I got two.

No mention of screen protectors on check out, I assume it will just be put in the package?

    • Whipped!

      • yep! I'm whipped sweetened cream, right for the eating…wink

You can get two for 62c more (without screen protectors)…

And in the same thread, there is a suggestion of $2 from ebay (many posts commenting that some ebay cables are crap. Have no idea what your cables are exactly but would be surprised if they are made anywhere different).

Notably, if you need one really quickly, you guys would deliver much quicker.

    • That was why I got it. Speed……hopefully!

I hope the quality of this is good. Just bought this then scrolled down and realised there's a another deal posted for savvy steal - 2 cables for $10.89 and 3 screen guards for $1.89.

    • Actually it's $7.62 since there is also a 30% off coupon for savvysteal.

Not sure about this one, but I just had to ask for a refund on the last lightning cable offer on OZ bargain. I made a pledge to only buy genuine from now on.

    • Possibly I purchased from the same deal as you. Need to sort out a refund for my cable purchase also. Not from this supplier, but does show there are some questionable quality cables out there.

Hey, We do same day shipping, posted from melbourne so should get them in 1-2 business days depending on where you are.
I have just updated it to say 'free screen protector'.
Also we have been using our Lightning Cables for months now and never had an issue. Thats why we offer 100% money back guarantee!
    Enjoy :)

I just paid the full $12 for the cable and screen protector. Does that mean I paid an additional $5 for nothing?

  • The problem though lays in the fact that pretty much all cables sourced from Hong Kong are much the same. Unless these are made by the cupertino I would be wary at any price. It's easy to jack the price up a little and say they are "better". I'm not hating, just stating what I know.

  • i ordered some lightning cables from another supplier and got my friend at work to charge it on his ip5, he stuck it in and it started charging so he tried the other way as the genuine is reverse sided charging ? anyhow he got it stuck and snapped it as it was pulling it back out.

he had to get pliers to remove the snapped off piece from his phone.

poorly made and the price reflects it, but its the price you pay to have spares as the genuine cables are too expensive at $25 each.

  • Yeah, I have been offered a refund. Just need to mail the cable back. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, by if my refund falls over for some reason I will name and shame them.

  • My friends told me that you can totally mess up your iDevices if you don't use genuine cable? Apparently there's some digital code built into the cable or something.. I'm not 100% sure myself, but he said his friend bought a fake cable and his iPhone just died. :S

    • Your friend lied, there were minor issues when the iPhone 5 first came out but they were solved very quickly.
There is no digital code but there is a security chip that is replicated.
I realise its hard for someone to go against what their friends say because of random people on the Internet but look at the huge amount of people (tens and hundreds of thousands) who have no genuine iPhone 5 cables and their devices haven't gone kaput.

If your friends iphone really is dead all he/she has to do it return it for a new one. All iPhone 5's that haven't been opened or dropped in water are still under warranty and apple are quite accommodating in most situations.

      • I like many people have several after market lightning cables and my iPhone still works just as well as it did when I got it. So does my wife's.
      • Oh I see. I wasn't saying these are bad copies or siding with my friends, I was just wondering. I don't have an iDevice that needs the lightning cable so I haven't really researched into it. I'm probably getting an iPad mini so it's good to know I won't have to fork out a fortune if the cable died. Thanks for the info.

  • Charger for ipad 4 and iphone 5 is not the same one….

    • Isn't the ipad 4 Lighting connection now?

    • Good thing this deal is for the cable then - it will work on any iDevice that has a lightning connector and can be charged from your Mac or PC without the need of a charger. At any rate, you can use an iPhone charger to charge an iPad, it just takes longer due to the lower amperage output.

  • Hey all, The lightning cables work with Any of the new iDevices iPhone 5, Ipad 4, Ipad Mini, iPod touch 5, iPad Nano 7, but as the bargain hunter said, WITH ANY CABLE, it always depends on which wall mount you have and the amperage output :)

  • .

  • Rep - Re Screen Protector - Would they fit the new iPod Touch 5 - I seem to have trouble locating these protectors.

    • Hey, i dont have an iPod touch but from the specs apple have on their site it should fit!

  • Here's one for $5.59 (shipped from Sydney). Good reviews too: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lightning-USB-Sync-Data-Cable-Cha…
