  • Whilst I'm happy with my S7, the a tineco service is shite. Expect to chat online twice, with promises to send spare parts profusely…. every time… only to have no spare parts sent out.

  • Model naming convention is just stupid. Next to impossible to find feedback on the right models.

    • I believe they sell the same model under different names on different markets across the world - S5 sold here looks identical to IPX4

    PSA: Buyer beware!

Shite product with questionable design decision. They use metal parts prone to corosion (including the pump and all screws) - no marine grade stainelss steel here. Expect your machine's pump impeller to seize after two year mark (just after the warranty has expired). As another poster mentined customer service is chat only China based, they offer puny discount to buy a replacement machine with same design faults.

    YouTube videos illustrating the problem:

And, yes I fixed mine last month with WD-40 - for now, not sure how long it will last.

While the price is really good, I'll still neg the deal based on quality of the product and the customer service experience.

    • I'm not sure why you got downvoted, i had the same experience with rusting and Tineco are pretty badly rated on the Vacuums subreddit

      • You can't deny small people their pleasures :-)

    • Yep, Tineco was hype but this one isn't good

I’ve had mine for a month and love it. Dunno about the longevity as per other posts but it works very well, my floors look schmick!

My personal experience with my Tineco - started off great, loved it. 1.5 years later - regretting the purchase.

One side of the charger port on the mop and charging base rusted, it was such a pain to charge as i had to pop it on and off and angle it for ages.
Suction became terrible, when I would put the mop 'on hold' , it would just splurt out dirty water, so i had to either suck it up again or put it straight onto the base. Would not even suck up my long hair, which is the main reason why i wanted a vacuum mop, just kept rolling it around on the floor until i got pissed off and picked it up myself.

i sent it off to Godfreys as it was still under warranty and they did change the motor, but just brushed off the rust with a metal brush as i could still see it there. i sold it off asap and bought a Dreame H12 pro. I feel its a better built machine, has tineco s7 features for half the price. its been almost a year and no signs of rust, although I do coat the metal bits with silicone paste occasionally.

  • On Vaccum wars. MPVAC section, Tineco holds first 4 places…

And this website is widely used for robot and other vacuum comparisons.

That seems to test performance, but what about longevity? Tinecos start off great, but it does not last. Google tineco mop charging issues and you'll see a lot of results, but I tried dreame, roborock and bissell and it's only those robot mops that come up not the stick ones.

For $130 more, you might as well get the Dreame h12 pro which has roller drying and full edge to edge cleaning.

  • Is this the same as or similar to the one coming @Aldi next week for $249?

    • Here is a review. Apparently has same internals as the iFloor 3. It is a budget model with the trade off being battery run time, about 20mins.

    • Tanks are small, looks like the s3 size. If your floor area is large, it'll be a bit annoying having to stop and dump/refill
