  • Coffee Blends $39.95/kg Delivered

That's like 30% more than previous OzBargain deals…

    • +6

Hey jv - yes there have been some changes for sure - there's been over 100% increase for beans over the last 12 months - new prices are a reflection of changing markets around us.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • -1

Time to switch to tea I think…

        • +1

          Or, get mainstream brands.
PS they say Aldi coffees are very good value, I am going to try either their Colombian or Luxe blend next time.

          • -1

            @Musiclover:

going to try either their Colombian or Luxe blend next time.

post back and tell us how they compare.

          • +1

@Musiclover: Aldi coffee is fantastic value for the price. But still falls short of the good stuff in quality. But in terms of best value, absolutely Aldi.

            • -1

@zubzub: I would suggest nearly any Lavazza in Coles when 1kg price is 20-24 and you have an offer to spend certain money. In total, just a couple of cups more expensive than Aldi, but much better aroma.

              • @Ozzster: Much more stale too

              • @Ozzster: I guess its all subjective, really. Not a fan of Lavazza, but my mum loves it.

              • @Ozzster: I just tried Lavazza ORO. Maybe because I do pour over I struggle with it. Extremely bitter.

                • @Musiclover: Oro can be hit and miss. I’ve had some really bitter stale coffee from them. Had to throw it out. They used to be a more consistent good quality.

          • @Musiclover: Luxe is not worth it.

    • That's more than my health insurance!

    • +1

they used to be a good price with free postage but now they are just a rip off. they have lost me as a customer sorry.

      • -1

Thank you for letting me know…

    Hey Dan

Thanks for your heads up and transparency on cost of product. Add in rising overheads thanks to cost of living and I can see why maintaining prices is unsustainable.

Quick question though, will we be seeing any regular (monthly) flash sales for 1 or 2kg in the future, or are you retiring them in favor of subscription and other bulk deals. I typically was one to stock up on the 1 or 2kg flash sales.

    Cheers

Hi bassiveguitar - great question and thanks for asking - going forward the focus will be on deals as per this one today. That's not to say others wont happen on occasion but not in the manner they have in the past. Appreciate your feedback and questipon.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks Dan

Well I don't mind stocking up so will go the 4x deal and use it as an opportunity to try out some other blends you have other than my trusty Sumatra.

I know you barack for Enterprise as an alrounder, anything else you recommend for both espresso machine long blacks and flat whites? I'm also considering trying some pour overs too.

        Cheers

        • Apologies for missing this earlier bassiveguitar - I would go for Saratoga, Stargazer for a little darker and maybe Pegasus. That would be a great combo with the Enterprise.

          I hope that helps.

          Cheers
          Dan

  • +8

    Appreciate the clarity on this.
But the addition of shipping fees (on non-deal/subscription orders) combined with a very large jump in price per kg (which I understand is due to external factors) will likely mean that, even with these "deals", I can no longer justify buying your coffee beans.

    • Hey there Rail Rider95 - thanks for sharing - I appreciate it's a big change from the past. We do believe that in the current market that these deals are great value and hope that they prove to be for you and everyone else.

      Thanks again for sharing.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks JV!

        • Worth a try for $30 delivered.
I found them way better than the supermarket ones.
(I haven't tried the Aldi ones yet though)

I'm going to get another bag when my current beans run low…

I liked the AIRJO Enterprise Blend I tried, but it's just too expensive…

          • +1

@jv: That's fair. When I first got into diy coldbrew, I was using Harris brand from Amazon as well. They were pretty good. But the quality of Thunderchild from Airjo was a noticeable improvement.
Guess I'll have to get back to a lot of trial and error to find a suitable alternative in my budget.

  • +2

I mean this is dearer than the absolute bargain basement prices we've been used to for years now. But $40/kg is still pretty decent for a kilo of quality beans. I ran out of my normal blend over the weekend so grabbed 250g from my local roaster for $25, with 500g being $39 and 1kg for $58. That made me truly appreciate what I've managed to drink over the years for what I paid. Plus Airjo just makes the coffee that I like drinking most, after trying all sorts of other names. Happy to support you.

    • +1

Hey Hinee - thanks so much for your support and sharing your local experience. We love the feedback and love what we do here so super happy to see it works for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

Hey, what's the deal with the prices on the website. Frontpage has multiple blends under 49$ , eg Enterprise at 44$, but when you click on them the product page says 49 with 44 crossed out, like this https://imgur.com/a/UawAqt5

    Is this intentional?

    • Hey there moodywoody - apologies for the confusion - the 44 price is the "one off" price that also has freight added to it so the 49 subscription price will ultimately be the cheaper option - and then further discounted with the code to 39.

I hope that helps and apologies for the confusion - I will work on making that clearer.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Oh wow, that was fast

        • -2

          she said…

    • +1

That should look better now moodywoody - Cheers Dan

  • I’m still getting 1 kg delivered to Sydney from Inglewood for $32.90. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

    • How are you getting it for that cheap?

      • Signed up for a subscription think in december

  • A bit painful that it's gone up by quite a bit but understand your reasoning @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters

Have just subbed to Deal1 with the current code, but unfortunately not sure if I'd continue at the normal price

    • Hey there blahoz - thanks so much for your feedback and order - looking forward to the coffee "wowing" you :)

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Just grabbed 2kg of the Sumatra through subscription, but it only discounted me 10% it seems.

    • +1

Hey Jume - thanks for the heads up - if you shoot me an email to [email protected] with your order number I can sort that for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Sent, thanks Dan!

  • Would love a 2kg subscription but the website isn’t calculating the costs correctly and only takes $10 off.

    • Hey there Docker - thanks for the heads up - if you shoot me an email to [email protected] with your order number I can sort that for you.

It's a glitch in that code that I will sort tonight.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Yeah, the coffee bean prices are insane globally. I have family in Brazil, and even though Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world, the prices have gone through the roof over there. We absolutely love Airjo coffee beans; we will continue supporting the business. I will sign up for my Enterprise blend subscription. Thanks for the transparency, Dan.
    Cheers,
    Rod

    • Hey rodtp - thanks so much for sharing and for your continued business. It is certainly new territory for everyone in the production chain from the farms to the consumers.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • 25% increase on my last order - including all discounts & coupons. Shipping has gone up. I don't consume enough to order in bulk for free shipping or it just goes stale. I'm out.

    • Thanks for sharing mlakmlak - sorry it doesn't work for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Unfortunately I’m also out.
Have enjoyed your beans for a while now, but cannot justify the increased costs. The price difference between the Aldi beans is just too much for me.

    • Hey Dalekh - thanks for your business to date. Sorry the new pricing doesn't suit.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • What do you recommend for Moccamaster? Thank you

    • +1

Hey there ethranton - thanks for asking - I would start with the Enterprise Blend.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers Dan

  • I’m a fan of Airjo coffee but I’ve gotta say this is probably the least votes I’ve seen for one of there deals. Why so low?

    • 30% price increase.
      12 times above inflation.

  • -1

The increase does hurt, but I'm staying…Airjo coffee has been consistently good for me, and is in the next suburb (almost!) so I feel like I'm supporting a real local business. Just bought 2kg of the Stargazer.

Still thinking about the subscription option…not sure it works for me. Our coffee consumption is quite lumpy depending on who's around the house!

    • Hey thanks so much Cheap and Cheerful - we understand the subscription may not work for everyone - we have set it up though so it's quite flexible. You can change the date any time either forward or back (has a "buy Now" button) or pause etc when you are not sure when you need your next one.

If you ever need a hand with it just yell out.

      Thanks again for your order.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • what is the deal with you guys charging postage now? used to be free.

  • +1

Bummed I missed out on this. Just tried to subscribe to the club and the price goes UP?!?! enterprise went from 43 dollars to 50? hows that work?

  • -2

always a big fan of the Pegasus blend so I'll try deal 4 and see how it survives in the freezer.
it worked out to be about $1.50 increase per bag which is acceptable.

  • Hey Dan

I’ve always enjoyed your coffee and it’s competitive pricing. I understand coffee costs are going nuts, but with cost of living, as an Ozbargainer and the fact I can get quality fresh bean cheaper elsewhere, it’s hard to justify.

Wondering if you would consider a non express post option in the future to make things that little bit more affordable? Will hopefully help sales as well.
