As someone who has been to lego stores in numerous countries (including third world countries), no the pricing is relatively the same.
Lego stores most likely aren't the best representation of this issue, especially given that we are talking within a geographically based Amazon deal here, but which third world countries have the same price tiers as Australia, that you have visited of course?
Thailand and Vietnam. But if you don’t believe me go read the lego subreddits, Phillipines is also another example
@GossipGoat: i have no reason to doubt your first hand experience in Lego stores but have you checked, say, discount department store equivalents and region specific amazon sales, as is this particular deal?

Well ffs they cancelled my order
when they cancelled my order, it was listed as out of stock, and was not available to order.. The next day it was available again so i reordered. Same thing happened. Another day and it is once again available, soooo third times the charm?
