ESR for MagSafe Wallet with Find My Functionality, 5 Cards Holder, Strong Magnetic Wallet for iPhone, for iPhone 16/15/14/13/12 Series

I already have the 3 card version with kickstand, never really used the kickstand but when I travelled with it, there were a few times I wished it had more card space. Not sure when this new variant with space for 5 cards/cash was released/made available in Australia, but with the 20% off code at Amazon bringing it to $37.59, it was a no brainer for me.

  • Full Find My Support: this MagSafe wallet is fully Find My compatible, no AirTag needed, get notified if you leave it behind, track its real-time location, and play a sound to recover it

  • Smart Card Storage: two slots hold up to 5 cards or 4 cards with 3 banknotes, and a protective safeguard lining prevents demagnetization—ideal for your everyday needs

  • Strong Magnetic Hold: 20 N52 magnets deliver 3,200 g of holding force, 4x stronger than other MagSafe wallets, for secure and precise alignment

  • Easy Card Access: a 20 mm cutout for easy and instant card access complements the wallet’s sleek and stylish premium vegan leather design
Rechargeable & Wide Compatibility: charges in 1.5 hours for 3 months of use, only for iPhone 12 or later series, MagSafe-compatible devices, or cases with magnetic rings

  • This looks very bulky
Also seems like the iPhone’s giant camera tumour would get a little in the way of the card(s) sliding out easily?

    • +1

Phone snuggly, gets nice and toasty on hot days. Had one on my pixel 7 making it overheat

    • Can only speak for the kickstand 3 card version, it is bulky compared to other MagSafe wallets that do not have batteries/Find My capabilities in them.

Having said that, I can still pocket my 15 Pro without too much hassle.

Camera bump did not stop the cards coming out for me.

At the end of the day, it’s what I prefer to use now - peace of mind, especially while travelling.

        why?
is it cos of the Find My feature?
how often it needs to be recharged?

could just get a regular wallet and put an air tag in there (which wouldlast longer)
        and has audio speaker

what do you do if you get lots of coins or paper cash in change?
seems like wallet won't fit much with all the cards in the slots
and if it is not fully packed then there is potential for the cards to fall out when take the phone in and out of your pocket

        • why?
is it cos of the Find My feature?

          Correct, the Find My features.

how often it needs to be recharged?

I find myself having to recharge it once every 3 months or so?

could just get a regular wallet and put an air tag in there (which wouldlast longer)
          and has audio speaker

This also has a sound feature FYI - been a couple of times where my young child has taken it around the house, was able to use the sound feature to find it.

what do you do if you get lots of coins or paper cash in change?

Fortunately haven’t had a big problem with notes/coins. Domestically I don’t use cash at all. While travelling internationally and I’m out and about, this 5 card version should finally let me carry some notes and make it easier. Coins will be difficult, but previously I’ve usually had a small backpack with me so was always sticking them in there.

and if it is not fully packed then there is potential for the cards to fall out when take the phone in and out of your pocket

I haven’t experienced this with the 3 card version. I’m not sure if it was the unit itself or me just being careful with it, but if I had a single card in it, the card didn’t come out super easy, there was still a little friction on the sides.

      This looks very bulky

yeah it also makes it harder to put the phone in or take it out of your jeans pocket..
and if you got a case, it will even be bulkier…

at some point there is potential to misplace the wallet since you might be remove the wallet often for magsafe functions or the card falling out somewhere.

Taking calls with a bulky wallet attach is not good to hold for long.

Also how you gonna watch videos / stand your phone etc with that wallet attached?

Usually when you take out your phone it is because you want to do phone stuff
and wallet to do wallet stuff

Now you need to take both out each time regardless of which stuff you want to do.

FYI if you have cards with magnetic strips, this thing it will scramble them.

Not really an issue in Aus since we don't use the magstrip anymore, but if you travel to Japan, most of their ATMs only read the magstrip and well, you're gonna have a bad time when you try and withdraw cash. Ask me how I know….

    Just use your normal wallet.

    • but if you travel to Japan, most of their ATMs only read the magstrip

Japan is one of most technology advanced countries in the world

why the F is japan ATM still only read magstrip?

      • +3

Technologically advanced yet they still use fax machines.

      • It has been the year 2000 in Japan since 1980.

      • They don't call it the lost decade for nothing… Japan has been economically stuck for a while now… I was fully expecting all the robots to come out of Japan, but nope… turns out it's the chinese.

    • There’s a picture that says it has special magnetic lining to protect the magnetic strip. Not sure if true or not but yeah.

    • Oh, that’s interesting.

Having said that, I had a travel card in the 3 card version where I used the magnetic strip at an ATM in Japan… didn’t have any issues.

  • It said prevent demagnetisation in the description.

Smart Card Storage: two slots hold up to 5 cards or 4 cards with 3 banknotes, and a protective safeguard lining prevents demagnetization—ideal for your everyday needs

  • This gave me anxiety and fury. I’m worried about falling off second, and if someone steals my phone, they will get all my card details without even bothering to unlock it.

  • Have you come across a passport holder with Find My Support?

I used a version ESR MagSafe wallet WITHOUT the find me feature awhile back.
after 3months? or so the rubber on the sides (where i would hold the phone and wallet) started to mush up (it looks like the rubber melted).

the wallet stand combo definitely does the job, but the durability is quite questionable. It's not an item where i would recommend using daily.

    • +1

Exactly this and I’m going to give this deal neg to raise awareness. I’ve had 2 - one brown and one black. First lasted 9 months before the edging broke down and revealed the cardboard material inside. Got another in case it was just a dodgy version, but next one did the same in a similar time frame.

It is still usable but looks terrible. I definitely won’t buy another unless they make a real leather version that will last.

Using 3 cards version for a year, no complaints

    That code doesn't work.
    invalid code

    • +1

Thanks, seems like the code has gone now.

XGTAGYKJ works for 15% off, but I'd just wait for another 30% off code.
