  • Why I can't see any leather on the Ultra Leather model? https://www.ergohuman.com.au/ergonomic-office-chairs/ergohum…

    • Did you look carefully at the armrest?

      • +1

So just the armrest? In the past EH leather would have leather seat base

        EDIT:

The description is different to the photo:
        Ergohuman 2 Ultra Leather $870 $780
The Ergohuman 2 Ultra Office Chair with a Top Grain Italian Leather seat and backrest including the headrest. Combines the ergonomic adjustments of the Ergohuman Ultra Chair with the comfort of a quality leather finish.

        • Correct, just armrest when trying to figure out where leather can be applied to what visually, looks like mainly a mesh chair.
As for descriptions vs images maybe that's an issue that needs to be brought up with the manufacture & marketing department.

          • @adinico: I'm not sure which one to believe. Like i said, in the past EH leather has always been full leather.

            • @meong: That's understandable, one would want clarification from the seller before purchasing if concerned.

          • @adinico: But then what is the mixed leather mesh chair?

            • -1

@Ironic fear: Why are you asking me, did I come up with the naming system or labelled as "associated" with the business?

Check out the review by 'Chris Cornelius' on the product page.

'The design, alien and futuristic, offers an unparalleled seating experience, akin to floating in a gravity chair.'

  • OP cant you just return it? 60 days money back guarantee

  • mm it's being say close to 5 years, but my wheels have started to fall apart.

    • +4

They take a standard office caster wheel. I ordered some of those big rubbery smooth rolling wheels with brakes off Amazon and they make the chair easier to roll.

      • Can you share the link please? I'm also looking for some

Ergohuman are excellent chairs, I owned one for a number of years.

Only thing to check before purchase if you are a larger person is the chair
s weight carrying capacity to ensure you do not overload it.

  • I have a similar chair from a different manufacturer and, while comfy, it is a nightmare to get crumbs out of the seating mesh. Even vacuum can't get them all.

  • How do these compare to Herman Miller chairs?

  • Why do they only ship some models to all states? Living in Tassie I get shafted on delivery costs even if they are prepared to ship things haha

  • Was about to order, but then saw the $179 delivery cost.

make sure to consider warrenty on these chairs.

Had to make a heap of claims surrounding the wheels (coming apart)

and the arm rests - where they connect with the metal bracket is a wear point, and it breaks alot.

mine had 10 years warrenty when i bought it, and ive claimed warrenty on that at least 6-8 times.

  • Laptop Holder for the Ergohuman V2 $85
This does not fit the new Ergohuman 2 range…….. Damn

  • Is this a deal? The mesh version is 599 here https://www.templeandwebster.com.au/Ergohuman-Ultra-Mesh-Off…
You should be able to stack it with Shopback or Amex offers easily.

I think Ergohuman's model names is criminally confusing. And I think it's just as dumb that resellers can decide to name the offering something else so you can't tell at a glance what is what.

My guess is that the one in TempleAndWebster is the "Elite V2" version - which is different from the "Elite 2" (retarded I know): https://www.ergohuman.com.au/ergonomic-office-chairs/ergohum…

      • oh yes, I think you are right, they just changed the naming this year

4 years in on this chair. 6'2 and under 80kgs. Amazing chair until about 6 months ago. First issue came up 8 months ago I had the lumbar support replaced as the glue holding the mesh started to peel, covered under warranty and replacement was received within the week. 6 months ago the mesh seat felt like it had lost a lot of its bounce, it's gotten to a point now where I start to feel the plastic sides of the seat when sitting for 4+ hours. Once I find the time I'll submit a warranty claim and if I remember I'll share my experience.

TLDR: It's a good chair working from home it gets 8-12 hours daily use. I'm still not sold on the mesh seat, the support isn't as consistent as I was hoping for, will be going back to a flat foam seat once I find the right one, or I'll see if ergo will replace/sell me one.

    • Is that the Ergohuman v2? Cos this seems like a different model (Ergohuman 2) which I believe came out more recently than 4 years ago although its difficult to tell because their naming conventions are terrible.

      • For sure, I just checked the invoice and its the,
Ergohuman 2 Luxury Office Chair. It hits 5 years in Sept 25, see how I go with the warranty claim and I'll throw an update if I remember.

    • I'm currently using a 13 year old mesh chair that I got from Milan Direct for around $550. I used to think it was an Ergohuman (similar form factor to the Ergohuman 2 Elite but I'm starting to think it's an unbranded model. It's lasted long enough though and I never noticed any mesh sag. Maybe it did sag or lose elasticity but I never noticed. Hopefully the Elite 2 which is almost 2x more expensive can outlast it. Seeing issues in 4 years doesn't sound promising but can't tell until I start using it - their shipping is so slow I still haven't received it.
