Extra 30-40% off Antler Luggage: Carry-On from $150 and Medium Size Luggage from $170, 1 of Each $224 Delivered @ Antler

270

This one is a bit of a hack, Antler are having a spend $199 get 30% off or spend $399 get 40% off. Most luggage on sale does not further discount but I found two bags that do. If you hit the $399 spend the medium bag is $102 per bag and the carry on is $90 per bag.

I didn't delve into large bags as most of them are bigger than airlines allow (although normally not a big deal)

Medium Size - Dark Navy - https://www.antler.com.au/products/medium-luggage-dark-navy-…
Carry On - Soft Blue - https://www.antler.com.au/products/expandable-carry-on-lugga…

1 of each = $224
1 Carry on and 2 Mediums = $294
2 Carry on and 1 Medium = $282

1 Medium = $170
2 Mediums = $238 / $119ea
3 Mediums = $306 / $102ea

1 Carry on = $150
2 Carry on = $210 / $105ea
3 Carry on = $270 / $90ea

I wouldn't be too worried about a large bag being a few cm oversize as no airline is actually going to enforce that. As long as it isn't ridiculously oversize and still looks like a standard large suitcase they'll only be concerned about the weight.

EDIT: Also not sure about the current Antler models but one thing I dislike about the Antler carry on I bought maybe a year or two ago is that you need the right PIN set to lock the bag, some other suitcases let you lock the zippers regardless of what combination is set but the Antler one does not and the zippers won't depress into the locks unless the right combination is in place.

This is probably to reduce the amount of people forgetting their PIN?

    • +2

is that you need the right PIN set to lock the bag

That isn't a feature specific to Antler.

Yeah that's why I said 'some' other suitcases instead of 'all'. The Samsonite 73H series for example, lets you lock the zippers regardless of what combination is set and I much prefer that, as I usually prefer to scramble the combination immediately after unlocking the suitcase. With the Antler this means I would either need to 1) leave the combination on display while it is unlocked or 2) scramble and then reinput PIN when I want to lock the bag again. It's obviously not the end of the world as I'm still using the bag.

  • Great find OP!

They don’t let you add more than 1 of each to the cart though so you can’t get to the 40% deal

  • Who prefers a hard shell luggage, the style that zips down the middle? Who prefers a soft shell, the style that has a lid? Looking at a large one but I’m so undecided between soft and hard

Love stacking offers! Too bad they picked up on it already..

  • I got an Antler set off LuggageDirect and they were great - pricing was far better than Antler direct

  • damn, it's gone

  • The deal is still working on the Logo Large
    https://www.antler.com.au/products/large-luggage-dark-navy-l…
    2 for $226
    OR
    3 for $342

  • Those carry on make little sense… check the height of specific models 56cm is pushing the limits with some airlines being 55cm where a squishable bag is the best pick to fit into the fitting measure boxes they have. Some of these are 58cm? Which will be denied by any airline who check.

Then over 2.5kg empty doesn't go far with a 7kg weight limit

That's why you either opt for a duffle bag or an ultralight carry on. Usually the 'Shell' style suitcases are heavier.

The Antler softstripe range (54cm) is very light at 1.9kg
There is also a samsonite 73H (55cm) which is also 1.9kg.

90% of the luggages I see at the airport are 'shell' style. I had it once, never again. I'd rather set down my luggage and open the lid and not the whole luggage 180 degrees.
