Thanks to the $20 off deal for purchases over $100, there's a great price on Donkey Kong Bananza (and Baby Shark Beverage Napkins).

Note: I thought the deal was for $100 purchases, but it wasn't counting when I added a $1 Big W bag. I thought this could be because it was a bag, but decided to just go 5c over and save the hassle.

EDIT: Game over! Looks like Big W updated the code to comply with the rules they set out. No preorders (Bananza) and no clearance items (Baby Shark Napkins). It was fun while it lasted. Congrats to those who got the deal!

    Generally, in my experience Big W is probably the best place to buy Switch games on special or at a new low price, depending who publishes the game.

    13 Sentinals Aegis Rim at $24.00 retail is a prime example.

      Based on the US pricing (10USD), upgrade prices in Australia will be roughly 15AUD (though local price has not been confirmed). The upgrades are also free if you have NSO. So that doesn't directly answer your question, but it might give you enough info to make a decision.

        I don't remember the source but I think Japan was 1000 yen which would be $10 for us if we go off their pricing. And besides, it's probably easier and cheaper finding a second hand copy of BoTW and getting the expansion than a new copy of BoTW - NS2.

        I ordered the switch 2 and new to this ecosystem. I don't think I'll buy NSO anytime soon since I rarely use my PS plus extra & gamepass.
        But I think I would go with the switch 2 version as it comes with the game card right?

          If you don't mind the price and want it all in one, get the NS2 version. If you want it cheap, get a second hand copy of BoTW from eBay or something and buy the expansion pass. In the end it's up to how you would like it.

      Yes, the page says that

      But no, that doesn't seem to be applying in practice on the Nintendo switch stuff. Even the Switch Console is working. So not sure what's going on there! And I'll not the baby shark napkins are on clearance, and was allowed!

      Yep, expired now unfortunately. They updated the way the coupon works to exclude preorders and clearance items (which it was meant to in the first place, but wasn't in practice).
