I have a phone with a dual sim.
My first sim is with Aldimobile (so…Telstra network).
I recently went on a trip where Telstra coverage was shite, so I grabbed a cheap Amaysim (Optus network) sim and popped it into my second slot. It helped me get reception/data where I was for the trip.
Anyway, I figured this is probably a good set up to have in my phone generally, but I'm not really sold on the idea of paying two phone bills per month.
Does anyone know of any Optus network plans/deals etc where I could either pay as I need to use it, or it has a super super low monthly fee?

Amaysim has As You Go plan that costs nothing when you don't use it. You can add credit to the plan, and the data is charged by MB used, or you can add data plan.

By the way it's Telstra Wholesale network - ie Telstra Retail network with only Boost having access to it maybe better coverage.
Amaysim As You Go Plan. Best way is to buy a starter pack on special at Coles or Woolworths.
