All electric blankets are priced the same, final clearance.
It's worth buying at a good price

Got one! Thanks OP!!
Thanks OP, got the Sherpa one!
Can these be used normally, if I didn't want to heat them up?
Yes for sure.
It's not like they cease being a blanket when the power is unplugged. LOL
Related: unpowered escallators can just be used as stairs !
Get outta town. When the escalators are out of order I just turn around and go home.
While the analogy is spot on, my concern was related to the fabric and make of it being insufficient for even mild cold when unpowered.
Analogy sucks in this case they are rigid and not great to be used as a regular quilt or throw and have found them only good to be slept on
@dealt: see, that's what I was concerned about, but yeah will use it as a mat or something as we hardly need an electric blanket.
Thanks OP! Got a couple.
Nice, got a single one to hopefully convince the wife to have the heater on less over winter. Might be more of a struggle to get her out of bed though
How does this compare to Daniel Brighton one?
What's the difference between the classic and sherpa type?
Edit: nvm. Fleece or no fleece, it seems.
Duh! I accidentally selected the wrong size. Is there any way I can edit or cancel the order? I have OnePass membership.
Yes, please goto order and select edit/cancel
No such option. Seems Catch doesn't allow cancelling nor editing orders. Which leaves me with free return under OnePass, which means I need to put in another order for the correct size and cancel this one. Is this correct?
Thanks, got a single size one. Find it more useful to use a single size one across a double/queen bed near the hips/feet than to warm the whole bed.
Also, does anyone know if these things are safe for younger children <10 ?
Not really.
If they're the bedwetting age then its a danger, if they're young enough to mess around with the controller then they could get overheated, and this is just an outright nope for under 3s.
If you still want to, I'd recommend outright unplugging this before going to sleep (since this does NOT have a timer function and is recommended to not be used overnight)
For reference, the manual states:
• Babies and Toddlers - Do not use this blanket with babies and toddlers.
• Children - This product is not a toy. Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the product. An adult should always operate the controllers on behalf of a young child, until he or she is mature enough to understand how to operate it safely and can be trusted to never play with it.
This product is not to be used by young children (0-3 years)
• Usage Restriction - This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for their safety
• Limited Suitability- Do not use the electric blanket with young children infants, infirm people, persons who are insensitive to heat, or persons suffering from bed-wetting.
Can't find a manual pdf online, but I bought the Classic version a while back and have the manual for that.
Thanks! Yeah, i was thinking i can pre-warm their beds with these for a bit, and then unplug them before they go to sleep.
Pretty sure your kids don’t need it… if they’re really cold, just chuck another blanket on top.
You can do it the old-school way, with a hairdryer.
(Unplug and take hair dryer away after, of course)
Great deal!
If I recall these are 'dumb' electric blankets, so you can pair them up with a smart plug and control it via voice, or smart app from home or remote.
I dont know if its appropriate, but if I may share my experience as to why I am now terrified of these.
About 4 years ago, my partner bought a couple for her parents from Kmart, and about 6 or so months in, it started burning while her mother was asleep.
Thankfully we were awake and smelt the burning before it burst into flames, so no one was harmed, but it was awfully close to being a tragedy.
and in my experience, Catch Items are on par to kmart items, so please be very very careful.
Perhaps completely unplug them when you get into bed.
Should I have not?
@YellingIntoTheVoid You are fine. Some people here like to play gate keper.
An alternative is the merino wool quilts that come up about now each year.
Personally I find the wool quilts much more warm and cosy plus no risk.
Order a size up and the drape stops cold drafts eg King quilt for a queen bed.
What did Kmart do, just give you a refund, did they do a recall?
Thanks OP
got a couple - king & queen
Giggity
Is anyone getting order cancellation as soon as they click purchase? "We regret to inform you that your recent purchase from Catch.com.au, did not meet our payment verification standards, resulting in your order being cancelled. I only get this when trying to purchase the Tontine Electric Blanket, all other Catch orders have gone through fine today.
Nope, I got an order confirmation and email…. must have been ozbargained.
Yeah a few weeks ago for a different sale item. I tried a different payment method so I think the message is misleading. More likely they sold out than payment verification error
Be careful. Put one in cart and at checkout was $160.
King is OOS from catch and is now a market seller at close to full price. Got order confirmation on a queen.
4 order attempts with 4 different payment methods. All declined even though the order was confirmed. F'in useless mob.
If they are OOS then just say so.
Thanks op got a queen 👑
Order Cancelled email… maybe OOS :-(
Order for the Queen seemed to go through with confirmation email. No cancellation email yet.
Only doubles available at the special price, at the time of this comment.
Price not 19.95 anymore
Ive read some reviews of this product on amazon and it seems mixed. A lot of the negatives relate to the position of the power plug which is too close to either the legs or torso depending on orientation. I want to cancel my order but I cant because catch doesnt have that option, so I guess I will have to return this. Maybe I wait for others to post their experiences regarding this issue.

Arrived today and it wasn't boxed .. Catch just stuck a shipping label on the blanket's carry bag.
Can't complain too much for $20 but still …
Anyone else or was this just one disgruntled worker lol
Same, just slapped a sticker on.
Likewise. Why wasnt it gift wrapped with personalised gift card? Maybe for $20 shipped someone thought it doesnt warrant a gold plated delivery
for an item going into the linen cabinet it'd be nice if the fabric bag isn't fully covered in dust and dirt samples from multiple depots/vans
Dont get me wrong here. I am not disagreeing with how nice it would be to have it boxed, but having used the blanket the other night, and having dumped my old anko blanket, I really appreciate the bargain I have, so I'll put up with the less that great shipping method. I was being a little cheeky.
BTW I dont know what the issue is with the power plug position mentioned above. I too read the complaint about the power connector being close to shoulder height. I cant understand this. Its far further up the blanket that the anko one which did dig into my shoulder, and I am long enough to use the whole bed. The only way it would be rested on, if my should was right up in the top corner, which would mean my neck would be crinked. In my case the size is a double. Maybe other sizes are different.
@RockyRaccoon: We got the king. Yeah the power plug is bit bad as where usually roll of the bed. No big drama though. Was nice and cost last night. Put a smart plug on it and set timer for one hour. Enough to heat it up. Used second setting and was bit too hot for my liking. 1 tonight. And yes. Knew you were cheeky.
@RockyRaccoon Glad you didn't ordered the $1bucket. Would've just put it outside and hopefully the wind goes your way. No sticker though. They are just between $10-20. Above $20 it is in a box.
Yeah nah, with the rain storm on our porch, the water it collected would have held it in place 🤣
Any Gas ones?
