Lost my Pixel 7 phone in NSW on 12th Apr Metro/Train. Went to Circular Quay to Manly beach and back.
Find my device shows location unavailable when I definitely had settings ON.
Have reported to NSW transport and to lost property with NSW police.
What else can I do to increase chances of recovering my phone ?

6 Days ago….. its gone. Could be anywhere from the bottom of Sydney harbour to scrub outside Kellyville, or mangled on the tracks at Chatswood.
I realised I lost it next morning as it was a spare phone and contacted lost property NSW transport and yesterday got an email that so far there is no match to my phone.
I’m not criticising you for the 6 days, just pointing out it’s had no signal for that many days so very unlikely it’s traceable. Unless someone stumbles across it, it’s gone.

We have one spare old phone in the house for the family if anyone has a problem with their phone. Why if your phone breaks living in a rural area its hard to get a replacement unless you take time off work to make a soecial trip.
Though our spare phone is probably only worth $30 it only takes a few minutes to put a sim card in.
