This place is genuinely awful. Would not recommend. All the food is extremely icy, the meat was not fresh, cannot recommend even for the price.

    • House of Delight or House of Lies?

All the food is extremely icy

The food’s meant for hotpot that’s why it’s icy. I’ve been there once, the food was great and the staff were friendly. If I didn’t live so far away, I’d go every month. Definitely recommend.

I don't agree - having everything encased in a block of ice is not a good sign for hotpot.

Frozen food being absolutely covered in ice is a sign that it has been previously defrosted (and therefore soaked), and then re-frozen. This is true for meat, seafood, fish balls, etc.

If you go to a 'nicer' / more expensive hotpot establishment, you'll find that none of their food is absolutely caked in ice / frost.

  • I went last year, it wasn’t that bad. Pretty good and only recommend dinner buffet for wider range of spreads.
