Definitely a classic. Give it a chance, since it is showing its age, but a great and unique game.
If you like it, Psychonauts 2 is also 75% off ($25) on Steam and Humble. (ATL is $10 though)

Fair take - it shouldn't have been AAA pricing since it wasn't an AAA game (although that was arguably a good thing, as the devs just made what they wanted to)
There's a good chance MS priced it so high to push people to GamePass.
Psychonauts 2 was a great game, however, and an absolute love letter to the original.

Yes, it was released at a time when Microsoft was struggling to get games out of the door and just after Redfall failed miserably, so it was oversold at the time to prop up Game Pass.
But it’s a great game, well worth $25 for a solid platforming adventure.
Nearly impossible to get working on steam deck, definitely worth the price if you have mouse and keyboard
I had issues as well on mine, no problems with Pyschonauts 2 though.

You have to edit a few text files, but the game works great after.
Yeah I had a go with those changes, but still couldn't get the controls to respond properly. Might go back at some stage and give it another go.
Classic game! But very cheap also.
