Pureprofile Not Paying Me for Completing Game Offer and Told Me to Contact Developer

Over Xmas/January I spent at least 40 days playing Merge Hotel Empire 1-3 hours per day to complete a Pureprofile (Aussie survey site) game offer as they recently put game offers on their site.

I completed the offer within the time frame and there is a record of the milestones I reached within the game in my Pureprofile account. I ended up getting paid for the first few milestones, maybe $2 in total. It says the rewards pend for 30 days before you get paid. I haven't been paid the rest which is about $27.

Since early March I've contacted Pureprofile 3 times about this and just received a reply advising me to contact the game developers myself for "further assistance".

I haven't replied back to them but I feel like writing in all caps: ARE YOU SERIOUS????

Since Pureprofile has offered the game and the milestone payments through their site I feel they should be the ones fixing this problem.

I wouldn't have played this game if I'd known what a time suck it was and how long it would take me to complete the offer.

Any suggestions? I thought I could trust Pureprofile to pay me for completing the game. I've been a member for 21 years and cash out on surveys a few times per year.

After reading this post, yes I too want to scream ARE YOU SERIOUS????

So let me get this correct, you played a game for 1-3 hours a day for 40 days that you wouldn't have played otherwise to earn $29?

isn't it run by the post office? There is a postal ombudsman, its actually owned by the govt

    • -2

Looks like it is now owned by LiveTribe I used to do them many years ago and it was owned by post office. They have a phone number and also respond to complaints on product review

I skim read the title and thought that they asked you to build/code a game and then didn't pay you

  • received a reply advising me to contact the game developers myself for "further assistance".

    Have you tried that?

Obviously the developers won't be able to help but it will help going through the motions to be able to progress the conversation with Pureprofile and tell them that the developers cannot help because the issue is with Pureprofile.

  • What do the terms and conditions say? Probably "lol good luck". Cut your losses

  • I mean, what do you want to happen here? You kick up a fuss with legal letters or something, for less money than a single hour of work? Even writing a post here and responding to it costs you more than that.
The best thing you can do is not use them again, so they can't profit off all your personal information any more.
If it was $200 in question, it might be worth pursuing. But for now, I think just find something more meaningful to do.

Try collecting cans and bottles and trading them in for 10 cents a piece. You'll make more money and get some exercise.
